Chainsword are a old school death metal band coming out of Poland,Blightmarch contains ten tracks of well executed and performed mid paced death metal.The guitars are played with both skillful writing abilitly and experience for the most part the guitars are played with mid paced guitar patterns.But the guitarist does speed up to a faster more intense pace showcasing his incredible playing abilitly.The drums are played with a mix of heavier mid paced drum passages and some much faster drum parts that are played with equally good drumming styles.The vocals are a mix of old school death metal growls and some gruff growls are used in a few songs.The vocalist does use some deeper growls and even some screams are used in a few of the songs.Blightmarch is a great debut release full of catchy and pummeling old school death metal so if you are a fan of this genre then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy today.
