Pyrgosia is a duo coming out of New Hampshire's black metal scene and this is a review of the debut Times Forgotten.The first song Frozen Swords Of Death is a welll played and performed song with a great melodic sound.The instruments are played with some extremly well performed guitars that are a mix of fast and some slower mid tempoed passages.The vocals are grim black metal screams.Death and Rebirth:Autmn Eaternus I is a much faster and chaotic song.The guitars are played with fast whirlwind patterns that are done with intensy.The vocals are grim black metal screams and screeches.Delirium Opus is another well crafted and executed song with some mid paced guitars and music to start out.The music does speed up to a much faster guitar and drum pace with some well played passages.The vocals are grim raw black metal screams.Towards The Alysium Fields is up next and is the longest song on the release coming in at just over ten minutes.Starting off with a intro of well performed music that is mid paced.After a minute or two the music speeds up to a faster paced with powerful drums and guitars that are played at hyperspeed aggressive patterns.The vocals are grim black metal screams that are done with some insanely fast vocals.The music does slow to a more mid paced range before going back to a more chaotic and fast paced range.The final track on the release is Under The Spell Of Evil's Oath is another fast and brutal track that is played with furious guitar patterns that are played with skillful writing.The drums are hyperspeed blasting drums that are delievered with powerful drum beats.The vocals are grim raw black metal screams.Pyrgosia has crafted a great debut of intense black metal that has a mix of aggressive and some slower melodic black metal passages for a unique release.
