Hi this is Jay reporting from Bogota Colombia
Today Im honoured to be talking with Horns, Black Metal from Poland…
Witam guys, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk with us…
Hails, Jay, this is M the drummer of the Horns band, it is a pleasure to respond to the interview all the way from Bogotá
When/Where / why did you decide to form Horns?
It was in 2014.... together with guitarist Z. we created the first songs , assembled the line-up and recorded the first material of the "Czarcie żebro”. I can mention that we knew each other before, because we played together in other projects.
What are the main musical influences behind the band?
The main inspirations are the idea of black metal, where ideology is combined with music, everything is supposed to create that specific atmosphere of the 90s.
What is the main focus for your lyrics?
Lyrics are written by different authors, They are dedicated to self-destruction, occultism, evil in human form, violence used for example: by Catholic priests.

Recently a new second guitarist joined us and we are currently working on a cover song which we are recording for a compilation, new material is slowly being made as we are already playing one of the songs live.
Poland is infamous for it’s thriving BM scene and top bands.. recommend some newer bands for our readers to check out…
From new Polish BM bands I recommend Brzask and Devorzhum
What are your top 5 BM albums of all time and why?
Burzum Filosofem - for uncompromisingness.
Immortal Battles in the north - for creating their own world, ideas in BM.
Darkthrone A blaze in the northern sky - for an old school approach to record-making.
Satyricon Nemesis Divina for skillfully weaving keyboards into extreme playing.
And from Poland Kat - Oddech wymarłych światów, for the first black metal lyrics in the native language I heard.
Where do you think you would be today if you had never become a BM musician?
I have no idea...I've been playing this kind of music since 1994 and I can't imagine any other approach to life anymore
What advice would you give to any musicians looking to follow in your footsteps?
What matters is determination and not looking back. Only a few win and come out on the other side when things don't go their way.
Would you like to add anything for our readers?
Thank you for the interview , support the underground! It is for you that we create new things.
Rogi w górę!!!
