Frosted Undergrowth is a four man band coming out of the German black metal scene.Unchained is third full length and their first on Folter Rec. featuring seven tracks of traditional black metal.The guitars are played with skill and intense patterns.The guitarist has a nice mix of fast and some slower,mid paced passages that are equally well executed.The drums are performed with well delievered and performed drum patterns.Like the guitars the drums are equally well performed with fast crazed drums and some mid paced drums are also used in a few of the tracks.The vocals are harsh traditional black metal screams that are done with power and intensity.This is my first encounter with Frosted Undergrowth but the band delievers a great release of traditional black metal that should please all fans of pure black metal.
