Birching is a new band emergening from the Finland's black metal scene and this is a review of the debut demo.Simply titled Demo the music presented is raw,traditional black metal that is played with some good musicianship.The guitars range from fast paced aggressive riffs to a more mid paced range.Both fast pace and the more controlled mid paced guitars are played with equally good musicianship.The drums are a mix of mid paced heavy drums and some crazed faster paced drum passages.The vocals are grim raw black metal screams that fit the bands music nicely.Birching plays a really good style of traditional raw black metal this is defintly worth a listen if you are a fan of this genre.
