Kalmismua is a solo project that comes out of Russia's black metal scene and this is a review of the debut full length.The Screams From The Past is six songs of cold traditional black metal that adds a nice mix of atmospheric and melodic passages into the music.The guitars are performed with some extremly well written and performed passages.The guitars do speed to a faster tempo in a few of the songs to give each song a nice mix of speeds and styles.The drums are performed with some really well played drums with a range from slower mid paced drums to the more faster paced style.The vocals are grim and cold black metal screams and shrieks.If you are a fan of raw and traditonal black metal then defintly give The Screams From The Past a listen you will not be disapointed.
