Aegon--Nocturnal Glorification cd {Elegy Records} I don't know what it is about Finland but the country has one of the best black metal {and death metal} scenes today.And Aegon is no exception the main man behind this band is Lord Aegeon playing raw,vicious black metal the way it was done in the early to mid 90's. With screechy,raw guitar chords that range from fast to a more mid-paced range and sound.The drumming is top notch with some extremely fast,chaotic beats.The vocals are raw demonic shrieks.If your a fan of raw,violent black metal then defintly do yourself a favor and buy this cd today!!

Arkona/Illness--Split 7Inch {Godz Ov War Prod.}
Poland's Arkona starts off this split with their song "Klucz Do Istnienia" the song is filled with a lot of energetic and insane styled Black metal with some thrash entertwined within the guitar patterns.Drumming is done with a lot of powerful and speedy drum beats.The vocals are done in the black metal shrieks style which really sounds great on this song.Up next is Illness with their track "Zara" Illness seem to be more darker and even have a industrial element within their music.It is a decent track with some heavy guitars and fast drums but I am much more into raw/violent black metal. But if you are a fan of Industrialized black metal then defintly check out Illness.

Cold Blood--Chronology Of Satanic Events {Metallic Media}
ColdBlood come out of the mighty Brazilian death metal scene playing a mix of old-school {early 90's} death metal with their second cd "Chronology Of Satanic Events ".Heavy mid-paced death metal with some faster parts within a few tracks.The guitars are done with excellent precision and talent.The drumming is top notched as well with some mid-paced drums before speeding up with some faster thrashy drum patterns.The vocals are done in the death metal growls with some screams mixed in with the growls.Cold Bloood reminds me of early Deicide and other excellent U.S death metal bands a great release and band for anyone into deicide or old-school death metal.

Exterminas--Seventh Demoniaca Hierarchy cd {Metallic Media}
Italy's black metal scene strikes gold once again this time unleashing the band Exterminas.Exterminas have created and crafted a very well written release blending traditional black metal with some very well written music.The guitars are done with extremely creative riffs that go between fierce and faster riffsto a more controlled speed.The drumming is in the same vein as the guitars going from mid-paced drum patterns to a more violent fast speed.The vocals are a bit of a mix of styles with some black metal shrieks and some death metal growls entertwined in a few of the songs.Exterminas have released a great sounding debut release recommended to all in black metal .

Keeper--MMXIV CD {Black Plague Rec./Metallic Media}
This is the debut cd from California's Keeper who know how to mix slow doom and black metal together. The guitars are slow and heavy riffs.The drumming is done in the same vein slow and crushing drums.The vocals are gruff black metal vocals with some tormented shrieks thrown in the mix.I am not a huge fan of the funeral doom but this is a good release if you are into funeral doom with some elements of black metal.

Lair--Black Moldy Brew cd {Elegy Rec.}
Lair come out of the Ukraine black metal scene the music ranges in speed with a semi fast black metal to an all-out assult on your ear drums.The drumming is top notch whether it is a mid-paced range or blast beating away on the drum kit.The vocals are very interesting to say the least with violent hollering and screams entertwined.Lair is not as good as Aegon but is still worth the money if you enjoy violent fast black metal.

Morbosidad--Tortura MLP {Nuclear War Now!}
Morbosidad have unleashed their brand new Mlp "Tortura" mixing a nice blend of old-school black and death metal elements together with some elements of war metal chaos.The drumming is non stop fast and chaotic all over the place which really fits these songs.The guitars are equally as fast with some excellent guitar patterns and riffs.The band is not all speed and chaotic music the band does slow it down in a few songs to a more mid-paced range before pummeling the listener with another barrage of fast guitars and drums.

Neoheresy--Noc Ktora Dniem Sie Stala cd {Elegy Rec.}
Neoheresy is the new band/project from the mastermind of Hellveto{r.i.p} Neoheresy plays a very good style of atmospheric metal with plenty of folkish influences.The music is played with great arrangements and style.The vocals are done with both clean singing and some gruff black metal vocal patterns entertwined.This is a great debut cd that is crystal clear and you hear every instrument .
