Rotten Moon is a solo project that comes out of Oregon and this is a review of the latest EP.Marred Earth is three tracks of pure,traditional black metal.The first track Marred Earth starts off fast and aggressive with some extreme guitars and drum passages that are well played.The vocals are raw,gtim black metal scream that are actually original sounding in the delievery.The next track Awaiting An End and is ripping fast and furious black metal song.The guitars and drums are played with fast and intense patterns that are played with skill,The vocals are grim,raw gruff screams.The final song is a cover of Immortal's Eternal Years On The Path To The Cemetary Gates.The cover is played with intensity and fierce musicianship with the fast paced drums and guitars this is a really well played cover song.Rotten Moon plays traditional old school black metal that is done with great writing and excellent musicianship.
