Mitternacht is a solo project  coming out of the U.S black metal scene that has released two demo's so far.This is a review of the new self titledEP featuring five tracks.The music presented here is raw and traditional black metal that is both well played with some chaotic passages.The guitars are played with fast paced guitar chords.The drums are played with fast paced drum patterns that are chaotic in the delievery.Both the guitars and drums do slow to a mid paced speed throughout a few of the tracks.The vocals are grim,raw black metal screams.Mitternacht plays a good style of raw,primitive black metal.   Mitternacht

1917--Factor Bestial cd&digital{Self-Released}

Bestemmia Aeternalis--Forbearance In Opposition cd{Self-Released} done on 3-16-25

 

Bestemmia Aeternalis is a  four man band that comes out of the Texas blackend death metal scene.Forbearance In Opposition is the debut full length featuring a intro and outro and six tracks of traditional blackend death metal that is brutal and extreme.The music is played with a mix of extremly fast paced guitars that are played at hyperfast speeds.The guitarists do slow to a more controlled mid paced in a few of the tracks to give each song a nice mix of styles.The drums are equally as fast paced woth some very well performed drum passages.The drummer also slows to a more controlled pace in a few songs and executes some well performed drum patterns.The vocals are old school death metal growls that are powerful in the delievery.The vocalist also uses some raw raspy black metal screeches and screams.Forbearance In Opposition is a great release of traditional and old school black and death metal recomended to all who love their black death music raw and evil.                                                    Bestemmia Aeternalis

Unending--Isolation CXIX Digital release{Self-Released} posted on 2-22-25

Terragon  is a solo project  coming out of France's black metal scene.Chapitre11:Baudelaire is the second full length featuritng twelve songs of well composed and performed black metal.Terragon's musicial style is rooted in the atmospheric black metal style that is well crafted and delievered in it's delievery.For the most part the music is mid paced drums and guitars that are done with a great writing abilitly.Their is also some very well played keyboards that are mixed into the music and gives it an extra layer of atmosphere.The vocals range from  clean singing passages to  some more  aggressive screams and gruff growls. New York's Rigor Sardonicous has been releasing bleak,funeral doom since the early 90's.Ridenti Mortuus is the bands newest ep.featuring four tracks of apocalyptic funeral doom.The vocals are very low and deep death metal growls and even some screams are used throughout the songs.The music is extremely slow and heavy with a raw sound and production but honestly the rawness adds to the bands sound.If you are a fan of true funeral doom that is extremely slow and bleak sounding then do yourself a favor  and be sure to check this band  out today.
