Coming out of Spain's black death metal scene is Path Of Redemption with their debut EP.Echoes From The Depths contains four tracks of well composed and performed old school melodic black metal.The music is a nice mix of both some slower more melodic passages and some faster more aggressive music is also added.The guitars are are played with fast,razor sharp guitar parts that are played with skillful writing.The guitarist does slow to a more calm mid paced range in a few of the songs to give each song a nice balance.The drums are done with some memorable fast paced drums that are done with powerful drums.Like the guitars the drums do slow to a more mid pace melodic style in a few of the songs.The vocals are grim,traditional black metal screams and some gruff growls and screams are used.Echoes From The Depths is a really good debut EP.for fans of traditional black metal with some memorable music passages.
