Hecatomb is a new duo coming out of Australia's death metal scene with their debut demo.Horrid Invocations contains five tracks of rabid and primitive old school death metal intensity.Rick Warkill handles the guitars that are played at a extremly fast and aggressive pace.The guitars are done with chaotic and destructive guitar passages but their are some memorable guitar patterns entertwined into the music.Maggressor handles the vocal duties that are old school gruff growls and some gruff screams are used in a few of the songs.Maggressor handles the drums that are insane blast beats but does slow to a more heavier mid paced drum passages.Hecatomb play a rabid and violent style of old school death metal with some thrash elements mixed into the music.If you are a fan of this style of death metal then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Horrid Invocations when it is released.
