Decrepit Altar is a death,doom band that comes out of Croatia formed in 2024 this is a review of their debut EP.Me Saco Un Ojo is doing a vinyl release of the debut.The first song The Festering Depths is a heavy and crushing song.The vocals are low death metal growls that are powerful and heavy.The music starts off with slow guitars and pounding drums.The music does speed to a faster pace halfway through the song with some faster guitars and drums before going back to the slower,dense pace.Beckoning Of The Moss Ridden Tomb is up next and is another crushing song that is primitive and heavy with devestating drum passages,And slow to mid paced guitars that are desolate in their delievery.The vocals are brutal and low death metal growls.The final track on this release is Fields Of Flayed Skin and is another heavy and crushing song.The guitars and drums are played with a mix of slow paced passages.The musicians do speed to a mid paced range throughout the song with some faster guitars and drums.The vocals once again are pure death metal growls that are delievered with powerful vocals.Decrepit Alter has crafted a dense and dreadful death,doom release that should please fans of slow,heavy and dark death doom metal in it's purist form.
