1.Hello Velnias how are things going with you these days? Please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hails brothers and sisters, these days I live in Israel with my family, I was 6 years old when I left Lithuania at times where it was part of the soviet union, my family had to leave and moved to Israel, hehe yeah very different country indeed! Since then I am visiting once in a while, learned a lot from my grandparents and my parents about the Baltic area and till these day I have this longing for my past and what I feel and call home. I use my music to keep this urge alive and close to me, for feeling as much as connected as I can, through the music I can express my feelings and my history and tradition that I grow up on. I am 34 years old, father of my two little twins, married.
2.When did you first become interested in playing music what were the first instruments you learned to play?
At the age of 14, I was sick and it was winter and raining outside, I played my video cassets that I was collecting by recording head bangers ball MTv show of metal and such, “The Forest Whispers My Name” by cradle of filth played, I was so fascinated by the sound of the keyboards and how they played such an important roll by delivering such a great atmosphere to the music. I called all my friends asking for a keyboard, started to play in few bands, mostly black metal bands, made few ambient solo projects and few years ago started the Romuvos project, music that I always wanted to do.
3.Did you take lessons when first learning to play the instruments or are you self-taught? Are their any instruments that you would like to learn to play one day if yes what instruments would you like to learn?
I am self-taught, it is just the way it went, would love to know how to play many instruments, mainly drums, and many folk instruments like Kankles(Lithuanian plucked string music instrument) and Birbyne it is a kind of flute.
4.What gave you the idea to start the band Romuvos? How did you choose the name for this band and does it have a special meaning?
Well, first of all it was the folk metal issue that was waiting to burst out of my brain for many years, and finely I got the time to do so, what is better to just use it for my longing to the Baltic area and the pagan traditions and even better is to use the most suited name that can be, Romuva is the Lithuanian and Baltic people pagan traditions before Christianity took over, it is a great wide religious knowledge to obtain and very interesting pagan point of view.
5.Romuvos is getting ready to release the second full-length cd "In Front Of Destiny".How long did it take you to write the music for this release?
It took few months to get all the songs written both the music and the lyrics. It was already recorded and ready to release, I have contacted Steffen from No Colours and told him that I would like re-record it with real drums and get musicians and do it in a better production, so I have contacted few of my friends asking them to join and make Romuvos a full band that can go also for live performance. We have re-recorded almost everything and once it was finished I was way more happy with the result, you can hear the difference between the debut album to this one.
6.Where do you draw inspiration for the lyrics and what are some topics you write about of the new cd "In Front Of Destiny"?
This is a concept album, telling the tale of a group of Baltic men going for a quest and travel for far lands and seas, discovering new traditions, new ways of life and knowledge. Their journey reveals many aspects that combine paganism way of life with other point of views, though mainly most of the songs mark the Lithuanian gods and traditions and in some I use old folk songs like “The Return Back Home” which is “Grissim Grissim”, an old campfire folk song.
7.Have you ever made a video for any of your songs? Are their any plans to do one for any songs off the new cd? If yes which song would you like to see made into a video?
No, I haven’t made any video, we have plans to do so in the future though I cant say when or for which song, haven’t thought about it yet.
8.If you had the opportunity to work with any musicians{past or present} who are some you would like to work with?
Wow what a question! Well, without much thinking! Falkenbach, Summoning, Mortiis, Bathory!! The list can go on ;)
9.Besides Romuvos are you currently working with any other bands or projects? If yes please tell the readers about them?
No, besides Romuvos I don’t have any musical projects, I think that I just wont have the time and dedication for it in the near future, maybe later on in few years, probably more BM style.
10. Velnias you live in Lithuania what is your opinion of Lithuania's folk,metal scene?
So as I have mentioned these days I live in Israel, but I will answer it for both scenes, the Israeli and Lithuanian one.
In Israel the scene is at its prime, many great bands come to play here, you have Fear Factory, Paradise Lost, Sabaton, Mayhem, Marduk, Raphsody and many many more, the crowed is kiking ass, many come to those shows and there are few metal pubs and clubs in Tel Aviv(main city).
There are many talented bands here as well, Pray For Nothing, Desert, Orphaned Land, Ferium, Winter Horde, Eternal Decay. Most of the people here in the metal scene are deep into it and take it very serious.
In Lithuania, I think it is bigger, you have great gigs as well and the Lithuanian bands are very good!
Obtest, Lucifer, Ha Lela, Zpoan Vtenz, Žalvarinis, Peorth.
11.Who are your all-time favorite Lithuanian bands and artists?Are their any new bands you feel the readers should watch out for?
Žalvarinis, Obtest and Gyvata which is traditional folk band.
12.Besides the new cd "In Front Of Destiny" do you have any other releases or merchandise for the readerds to buy and if yes where can the readers buy it?

13.When not working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?
I paint, the paintings on both albums are mine, and I paint with oil and acrylic as well, mainly abstract things.
I love sport and work out 1-2 times a week, like to feel my body and feel alive, and I love the sea, and now I will surprise you buy I ride the waves, surfing is a big passion of mine, started when I started to play music at the age 14, I love to just be there in the sea at winter when the dark clouds are above me and rain pours down, out alone in the waters where no one can reach you, you and mother nature are dancing together, so much patience and so much instincts are involved, it is something that is hard to explain but worth dying for!

1.Hello Batu how are things going with you these days? When did you first get into metal music and who were some of the first bands you listened to?
Hi Patrick ,just released the debut album of Grotesque Ceremonium ‘Demonic Inquisition’ and promoting right now this album , things are going well so far.i started listening metal music when i was 11 years old with with def leppard hysteria , iron maiden - the number of the beast , slayer –south of heaven – metallica master of puppets were the first tapes which i bought at those years and since 28 years i m listening metal music.
2.What gave you the idea to form Grotesque Ceremonium and how did you choose the name for the band?
i was always a big fan of early 90 s death metal bands , and i love early albums of Incantation and Autopsy much , in 2014 i decided to form a one man Project old school death metal band in purest traditional death metal way and Grotesque Ceremonium borned. As you can see on our album artworks and lyrics the concept of the band about dark satanic rituals , obscure demonic ceremonies under the full moon eclipse , occulticism and mysticism,baphomets demonic army,hooded undead monks and priest and such obscure stuffs , thats why the name Grotesque Ceremonium fits %100 percent with the music i play i think.
3.Batu you are the sole member of the band when you first started Grotesque Ceremonium did you plan to work alone or would you like to add more members soon?
Yes i m the only member right now but i actually wanted to make this band full live band , and i found drummer and bass player now and we'll start rehearsals with those guys this summer ,i ll see what will happen , if it works we will continue as full band if things not Works how i want than it will stay as one man band in the future too.time will show everything.
4.If you had the opportunity to work with any musicans{past or present} who are some you would like to work with?
İf you mean if i have opportunity to work with some international famous names! Than would be cool for sure to work with Incantation John McEntee or from Mighty Autopsy Chris Reifert,also legends like Jeff Hanneman (r.i.p) probably would be amazing like hell.
5. Grotesque Ceremonium is getting ready to release the debut cd "Demonic Inquisition" how long did it take you to write and record the songs for the debut release?
İ started to write songs during end of 2014 and end the spring 2015 period , than i started to record them summer 2015 to january february 2016 , ,without any time pressure or stress just to get the best result and sound which was in my mind.
6.Besides the debut cd "Demonic Inquisition" coming out do you have any past releases or merchandise available for the readers? And if yes where can the readers buy it?
İ released 4 song ep in 2014 , it released by American Line Prod(Mexico) as 100 limited pro tapes.You can check our bandcamp web page for future merch and releases.
7.Grotesque Ceremonium comes out of Turkey's death metal scene what is your opinion of the scene in Turkey?
We have a growing Scene , it seems to people who are living in Europe or Usa that we have very small scene and less number of bands but its wrong , there are lot of bands in my city Ankara and Istanbul into Death Metal and other styles of extreme music.
8.Who are your all-time favorite bands from Turkey? And are their any new bands you feel the readers should watch out for?
İ dont have any personal favourite band from Turkey , but if you are into Death Metal i recommend you Cenotaph , Decimation , Suicide , Burial Invocation , Drain of Impurity , Thrashfire , Carnophage.
9.Besides death metal do you listen to any other forms of metal music? And other then metal do you listen to any other genres of music and if yes who are some of your favorite bands and artists?
İ listen a lot of brutal death metal , because my main band brutal death metal band Cenotaph from Turkey since 1994 active and we are working on new album with this band , also doom ,sludge , grindcore,crust every kind of bands i m listening , besides metal i also like celtic and pagan musics , exprerimental musics , doom drone , lately i m listening much Adrian Von Ziegler amazing musician and composer from Switzerland whos is composing celtic fantasy dark medieval musics.
10.Batu you handle the vocals for the band when did you first start growling and singing? Do you do anything special to keep your throat and voice healthy?
I m growling since 1993 , in cenotaph i m using another style of gutturals and vocals , on my Project bands like Grotesque Ceremonium i use more traditional death metal growls and stuffs.
Before i was running and making breathe exercises at the first early years just to keep my voice healthy but after all those years of alcohol drinking and smoking i m not doing anything special for my voice now a days, i just try not to drink very cold beers before the gigs and tour with Cenotaph thats all.i think i already found and discovered my voice point and its limits during those metal years.
11.Beside the vocals you also handle the guitars when did you first become interested in playing the guitars? Are you self taught or did you take lessons when first starting out? Other then the vocals and guitars do you currently play any other instruments?
Actually i started with Bass Guitar at 2000 to 2004 , i was doing bass vocals at Cenotaph , coz we couldnt found suitable bass player at those times , but i hated doing bass vocals because normally i m vocalist and i couldnt gave my full energy on bass playing and doing vocals at the same time , it was %50 %50 performance , so i decided to quit bass playing and do only vocals, i made through those years , later few years before i bought guitar and started to learn it alone , i didnt took any lessons , i just learned it from my own ,there are a lot of lessons and tuttorials in youtube now a days , if people really wants to play guitar or other instruments its more easier i think now a days to learn it , than i started practicing from tabs of my fave bands , i m still learning guitars , i m doing daily exercises to progress my guitar work.
12.In your opinion what is the best and worst thing about the underground scene today? And what does the term "underground metal" mean to you?
Good thing is there are a lot of bands , and its more easier to reach and discover new bands , but otherside is bullshit because ppl just listen few songs from the bands and just jumping on the next band or album , they consume the music very fast and unmerciful now a days , ug scene form me was tape trading times , paper photocopy printed zines and flyers and return my stamps days , i dont how to describe ug now , because in internet you can find anything and any band.
13.When not working on new music or band business what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
İ enjoy travelling a lot , going festivals and concerts , nature , watching movies or playing computer games.

Things are going alright; neither good nor bad, which is just fine with me. My name is R. and I'm the sole member of The Howling Void. I've been writing and releasing strange music for various projects for about the last sixteen years or so.
2.When did you first get the idea to form The Howling Void and how did you decide on the band name?
The idea to blend dark and crawling funeral doom with ethereal choir and string synths probably originated when I first heard Emperor's "In the Nightside Eclipse" a long time ago. I was moved very profoundly by the orchestration of that album and at that point I knew that I wanted to blend darkness and light in the same way, so to speak. The name of the band can refer to many things, but it refers primarily to the pre-natal and post-mortal darkness that lies on either side of our brief, fleeting lives.
3.The Howling Void is getting ready to release the band's fifth cd "The Triumph Of Ruin" How long did it take you to write and record the songs on the new cd?
I was actually quite fortunate to be struck by a kind of surge of inspiration when I wrote "The Triumph of Ruin", and I think the entire process from writing to recording took about a month. Past albums have taken significantly longer, usually due to recurring bouts of writers' block. Before the inspiration hit for this album, in fact, I had spent several months trying and failing to come up with new ideas for the project, but suddenly the inspiration hit and I scrambled madly to get it all written down.
4.Which usually comes first the music or the lyrics. And what are some subjects you explore on "The Triumph Of Ruin"?
The music always comes first, but the music itself is always inspired by imagery, either mental or visual. I usually envision landscapes of one sort or another, and then try to write music that "takes me there". The lyrical subjects on this latest album all revolve around the idea of cycles and eternal return. The title of the album is actually loaded with a few meanings that relate to this. Namely, the triumph of ruin is the fact that everything dies and everything is temporary, no matter how vital it may be right now. However, ruin and death are not absolute endings but rather the catalyst for new life and new beginnings. Thus, the "triumph" of ruin is actually kind of ironic, because ruin doesn't really win out: it only leads to more life. But if you dislike life, well, there really isn't any good news there.
5.This is The Howling Void's fifth release how do you feel the music has evolved over the years?
Personally I think that every album has a very different sound, but I know most people think all of my albums sound the same. The greatest evolution of my sound started with the "Runa" EP where I tossed the growls and started working themes from traditional Celtic/Germanic folk music into the compositions. I feel like "The Triumph of Ruin" represents the sound that this project has always been evolving towards.
6.Besides the new release "The Triumph Of Ruin" do you currently have any of the past releases or any other merchandise available for the readers? And if yes where can the readers buy it?
All of my releases are available digitally on my bandcamp site (http://thehowlingvoid.bandcamp.com) but physical copies are available from the labels and from various distros around the world. For the latest album I would recommend going straight to Avantgarde Music and ordering the digipak from them. The artwork came out beautifully.
7.Have you ever had the interest to make a video for any of your songs? If you could do a video of one of the new songs which song would you like to see made into a video?
I don't have a lot of interest in making videos, but that's mainly because I haven't spent much time thinking about it. I suppose that a video could possibly create a more memorable or moving experience for a certain song, but I would need someone who is more visually oriented than I am to make all of that happen. I just write music; I sometimes struggle to explain or express myself verbally or visually, so I do it all through music. I think that "Where Once A River Flowed" could possibly benefit from such an arrangement.
8.Have you ever thought of adding more members to The Howling Void or do you prefer to work alone?
I always prefer to work alone due to my generally reclusive nature. I wouldn't mind playing live at some point, in which case I have several musicians lined up to become the live version of The Howling Void. Sadly, though, the opportunity just hasn't presented itself yet.
9.If you had the opportunity to work with any musicians{past or present} who would you like to work with?
That's a difficult question to answer because there are so many possible answers. I'd rather not name living musicians because they would probably be embarrassed to be mentioned in the same sentence as a nobody like me, but as for the dead? Giacinto Scelsi. I would love to have been able to watch him compose.
10.Besides The Howling Void are you currently working with any other bands?
Yes, I'm constantly writing music for several different projects at once. Lately I've been writing material for Pneuma Hagion, which is an ominous black/death metal project of mine which recently released a demo cassette on Nuclear War Now! Productions. In addition, I have kept busy lately writing new stuff for a few other projects such as Serpentine Tunnels and Intestinal Disgorge.
11. R. you handle the vocals for the band when did you first become interested in singing? Do you do anything special to keep your throat and voice healthy?
I've never considered myself to be a singer, but I recently fell in love with the sound of gregorian chants and, really, any chant-oriented music. I wanted to try and capture the hypnotic atmosphere created by those types of vocals and add it to the sound of The Howling Void. I don't do anything to keep my voice and throat healthy, which is a shame because over the past twenty years or so I have done lots of damage to my voice (it goes out quickly when I scream and growl these days). The strain on my voice is probably a contributing factor to why I've tried to rely more heavily on singing/chanting than screaming.
12.You also handle all the instruments when did you first start playing music? What were the first instruments you learned to play?
My first instrument was the drum kit, which I picked up in elementary school. I took a few lessons and enrolled in the percussion section of my middle school band, but that is the extent of my formal training. Also in middle school I picked up my brother's guitar and taught myself to play it. I did the same with the bass and the piano later on. I'm pretty much an autodidact when it comes to music, which has both advantages and disadvantages.
13.Are their any instruments you would like to learn to play someday?
Too many to name. I'd love to learn to play all instruments if I could.
14.When not writing new music or working on band business what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I spend the majority of my time working and writing music. So, if I'm not at work or writing music, you can usually find me reading a book. I'm very reclusive and have had very little contact with the outside world in recent years, so reading is usually what I do to pass the time.

Immensity--The Isolation Splendour cd {Hypnotic Dirge Rec.}
Coming out of the Greek death,doom scene is Immensity who play a very epic and majestic style of death/doom metal.The guitars are played with some heavy guitars that range from slow to semi faster mid-paced style. The drumming is played in the same style going from mid-tempo drum patterns to a more slower tempo but the drummer does a good job of creating some well played drum patterns. The vocals are done with a mix of really well sung clean vocal patterns but the vocalist does a great job with heavy death metal growls that really fit the bands musical style.

Neoheresy is the creation of one individual that goes by F. and this is a review of his newest release Potop. The music on Potop is a mix of pagan black metal mixed with some very well written and performed atmospheric and folk interludes.The guitars go from fast black metal sections to a more controlled mid paced style and sound.The drumming is done with a mix of extremely fast drums to a more mid tempo style.Neoheresy play a very original and great style of black metal that features some very well done folkish and atmospheric sections.

1. Hails! When did you get the idea to form Humanitas Error Est? How did you all decide on the name of the band?
S Caedes: Hailz to you, Patrick! Well, the idea already raised up in middle of 2012, but it was hard, just impossible, to find the right musicians, who share the same point of views and who want to walk the same way with you: straight forward. I've such a hatred against humanity and all these religions. I'm disgusted by people who are just weak, who are not able to take responsibility for their life. Who are always just complaining about bullshit, who are destroying our nature. And I felt more and more the very need to express myself, all my aggression in music. Gradually I had the idea to have a male-vocalist on my side, to have more vocal variations. In July 2013 Ahephaïm and me finally get in contact with Ghoul. We meet up to talk about, what the band should be about, and it was quickly clear, that with him we found our second vocalist.
Ahephaïm: After that, it was the typical search/fight to find the further right musicians, every band knows. But we wanted also to be sure that everyone of them fits with the ideas behind the band as for the music. We needed more than one year to have this actual line-up.
2. What is the current line-up of the band? For the readers who have never heard Humanitas Error Est, how would you best describe it?
S Caedes: Well, we have me and Ghoul on the vocals, Ahephaïm on the drums. We have two guitarists, Tsar and Void114 – and our bassist Rogan.
Ahephaïm: For me, Humanitas Error Est is just the sum of our brutal energies staged in music, spontaneously. We don’t need to think too much about, it just flows out and give the result you can hear on “Human Pathomorphism”.
Ghoul: Straight and aggressive Black Metal, that's what we stand for. But we also want to look beyond our own noses, we don't want to sound monotonous. All of us have different influences and we try to combine it the best way.
3. Humanitas Error Est released the debut album "Human Pathomorphism" through Satanath Rec, Abstruse Eerie Radiance and Black Plague Rec. How did you all come in contact with these labels?
Ahephaim: During our mini tour in Belgium in July 2015 we met the guys from the band Zardens who asked us if we already have an album,and a label, … As the album was not ready at this moment, we also didn’t had any label and he advice me to contact Satanath Records. The interest for Humanitas Error Est was more than obvious and he even talked about it with partner labels who were also interested to take part in this release. Our interest was to cover Asia through Satanath Records in Russia, America with Black Plague and The True Plague in USA and Europe through the Belgian label Abstruse Eerie Radiance.
4. How long did it take to write the music for the debut release? Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member write everything?
Ahephaim: Basicaly, I wrote the songs with Tsar, working together with his riffs and my rhythm ideas, establishing structures. After that, the two singers can work on their text and their vocal lines. Nothing really special I guess. The songs were quickly written as I told you we made it quite spontaneous to keep it as wild and honest as possible but I couldn’t tell you exactly a number of months.
5. Who usually takes care of the lyrics for the songs? What are some topics the band writes about?
S Caedes: Ghoul and myself. Our crucial point is the human being itself. Our common denominator is hate, aggression against mankind and the experiences we made in our life. We both are individual characters, but we share our point of view about humanity and religions. And this is the main topic in our lyrics. Ghoul is writing often more between the lines, more subtile. I prefer the brutish, the rude way. Using also a lot of sadistic content in my lyrics – that's just the way how I am. We write about the stupidity of believing in gods, about the weakness of people out there, taking responsibility for their life, about the sadism which is lurking in everyone of us, the evil within. But also some sexual content like necrophilia and other perverted, deviant stuff.
Ghoul: We share the lyrics. When the structure of a song is ready, most of the time we directly feel, who of us will write the lyrics for this song. We never had problems with this. It's a good team-work. And for the topics… let's say it like this: humanity is an all destroying species which is gorging till death. Humans don't care about the destruction of mother earth. Humanity is just a virus, nothing more, nothing less. And just because weak people are praying to god, doesn't mean, that they're better humans. Everyone is his own god. Some of us understand, most of us don't.
6. Besides the debut cd "Human Pathomorphism" does the band have any other merchandise available for the fans? If yes where can the readers buy it from?
S Caedes: For the moment we have Shirts and Tanks with simply our logo and the chaos star on the back. But in a few weeks we will have new designs available (Shirts, Zipper, Hoodies, Girlies and Tanks – also in different colors). We made a cooperation with Phil Robinson (Níðhöggr Studio). As I really like his work and I'm in contact with him for a longer time, I asked my band mates, if they are interested that he creates a special design for us – they were, so we just made it. And the result is just awesome! All is ready to be printed now. Soon as our new merch is available, we will announce it on our website and Facebook. 7. Does Humanitas Error Est get to play live very often or do you prefer to work in the studio? What have been some of your most memorable shows to date?
S Caedes: Ha, easy thing: live! We all just love being on stage, unleash our hatred! This is exactly what we want to do. Memorable shows… I can name our gig in Switzerland, the Night Of Blasphemy - this was just an amazing moment. The audience was a 100% with us, and when you get such a feedback, you really know it's better being on stage then in studio! And also the In Flammen Festival – really great feeling to be part of this known festival, specially under the aspect that we only published one demo-song at this time. But you know, every gig is important. Even if it's in a little location, we're there to unleash hell on stage, and that's exactly what we're doing. No matter if we play in front of 500 or 50 people!
Ghoul: My favorites till now were Club From Hell (Erfurt/Germany) and also the Night Of Blasphemy in Olten, Switzerland. The audience was damned great, we really felt that they were there to enjoy a Black Metal gig. It was an amazing atmosphere.
Ahephaim: Live is where Humanitas Error Est makes sense. You can arrange a lot of stuff in studio, but you can’t lie in front of an audience and we like to show that we really mean what you can hear on “Human Pathomorphism” but in an even more brutal and raw way. I join my colleagues about their choice of the best live experience with Humanitas Error Est at this day.
8. Are there any upcoming shows or small tours the readers should watch out for? Where are some places the band will be playing?
S Caedes: Yeah, we have some great gigs planned. Two of my favorites, which I'm really looking forward to, are on the one hand the Radiant Art Festival in Belgium, on the 9th July 2016 and on the other hand the Autumn Souls Of Sofia Festival in Bulgaria, on the 14th October 2016. In Belgium, Ahephaim and myself will play also with Lebenssucht, our second band. Being on stage two times will be a hard thing, but also a very great experience. Besides this we both also will expose some art (photographies) of us, so we are able to express our emotions in two different ways, what is absolutely amazing.
Ahephaim: To watch out all our gigs, fans can just have a look on our website or at the tour-section on our facebook-bandsite. Soon we will announce some more gigs for 2016 as for 2017.
9. Humanitas Error Est recently made a video for the song Raping Religions. How long did it take the band to make this video?
S Caedes: Oh, not that long. For „Raping Religions“ we just used some live-material from our gig we had in March 2015 in Erfurt, Club From Hell. Our guitarist Tsar was editing the video… I guess he finalized it within few days.
10. Besides Raping Religions are there plans to make any new videos of the debut? If you could is there a song you would like seen made into a video?
Ahephaim: Indeed, I’m working on the edition of an official video for the song “Pain Feeder”. It took a bit more time than expected due to my other activities but it should be released in the next weeks if all goes well.
11. Humanitas Error Est comes out of the German black metal scene. What is your opinion of Germany's black metal scene?
Ahephaim: Germany is the metal country by excellence, with all its festivals, labels, … so the scene is very developed. The mainstream scene as the underground one. In the black metal scene you find a lot of great stuff like also pretty shitty releases. When I’m interested into a musical genre, the origin of the band is just an information amongst other and I guess it’s not that important. Only to understand some of their ideas, concepts maybe. Concerning gigs and lifestyle in the German black metal scene, it’s like a big family with sometimes little fights between some members of this family but in general it’s quiet a comfortable scene. The biggest problem is with politics mixed in the music. A lot of press people, labels, and also band members are really concentrated into checking if this band or this band has links with Nazi ideas, … instead of first put a hear on the music. As a Belgian guy living in Germany since only few years, I found this quiet shocking how this subject is leading into fights and problems, even for bands like us, who have nothing to do with political ideas.
12. Who are your all-time favorite German bands? Are there any new German bands you feel the readers should watch out for soon?
S Caedes: Honestly I give a fuck about, if a band is German or not, I'm only interested in the music, if the music can kick my mind. But ok… to name some... one of my first Black metal Cd's I bought was from Dunkelgrafen, which I also still like to listen today. Bands who were influencing me a lot are Anti and ColdWorld. And in addition I'm a big fan of Endstille, already for years.
Ahephaïm: There are a lot of great German bands; The Ruins Of Beverast, Endstille, Farsot, … but to be honest I’m hearing bands from all around the world and actually very few from Germany. It’s not a question of choice, more the hazard of discoveries.
13. Besides working with Humanitas Error Est are any of the members currently working with other bands or projects?
S Caedes: Except Tsar, we all have bands beside Humanitas Error Est. I'm doing the vocals in Lebenssucht, which is more depressive Black Metal. But it's not a “how I can kill myself best way – thing”, since I'm not interested to kill myself. But yeah, I'm very into depressive art, it's a very personal thing, you know. The music and lyrics are much more intimate, the aura of the band is very morbid – what we will also show on stage. Actually we are working on our first album and have already few gigs fixed for this year. First time we will be on stage on the 9th July in Belgium and
few more gigs will be announced soon. In addition to my two main-bands, I did some guest vocals in Withering Night (Black Metal, United States) and I will also do some guest vocals for Absolutus (Black Metal, Belgium). Void114 is member of the band Coma., from Austria, a very experimental band, very sick music. Can't really put it in words, you just need to listen to. I like it a lot.
Ahephaïm: I’m also drumming into many bands beside Humanitas Error Est. First I have my solo project Arnwald which is something more ambient, industrial with some kind of black metal spirit. My other bands are spread into many genres: Grausame Töchter (electro/punk), Rogash (death metal), Lebenssucht (black metal), Die Wanderratten (medieval alternative), … plus many other projects under construction.
Ghoul: And me, I'm doing the vocals in Goatfuck, a Black/Trash metal band from Leipzig. We restructured the band into more black than trash, also gave the band a new name (before it was Slaughtered Existence) and working hard on our first EP with me as vocalist. We already had our first gig and there will follow some more this year. One of the upcoming gigs will be in London. Quiet exciting thing. Besides this, we are currently searching for a label.

Enoid--Exile Aux Confines Des Tourments cd {Satanath Rec./Black Plague Rec.}
Switzerland's Enoid return with the seventh release to date combing raw,hateful black metal with some very well written and played instruments.The main man behind Enoid is Bornyhake who handles the vocals and all instruments.The guitars are played with a lot of skill and played at different ranges going from a mid tempo to a more faster black metal guitar tone.The drumming is done in the same vein going from a mid tempo drum range to a all out violent speed with blast beats and the drums are done with a lot of skill and played very well either mid tempo or at the faster range.The vocals are grim black metal screams mixed with some gruff talking type of vocals used in a few songs.This is my first encounter with Enoid so I can't comment if this is a big jump from past releases or not but if you enjoy furious black metal then defintly buy this cd as soon as it is released.

Goholor--In Saeculis Obscuris Mcd {Symbol Of Domination}
Slovakia's death/black metal band Goholor have released a great Mcd of heavy death metal and some black metal entertwined within the music.The guitars are played with some very well written and performed structures and patterns going from a fast and heavy death metal guitars to a more mid paced range.The vocals are a nice mix of death metal growls mixed with some blackend screams and shrieks.If you are a fan of well performed chaotic and heavy death,black metal then be sure to pick up a copy of In Saeculis Obscuris today.

A Decade Of Disgust is the re-release of Grimness IncreaseHumanity Disgust which was originally released back in 2004 Also included is the bands 2002 E.P Dogma .The music is played with a lot of power and fast paced songs that are really good and stand the test of time. If you are a fan of this band or enjoy fast early nineties style black metal then defintly do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Grimness A Decade Of Disgust cd today.

Morbus666--Ignis Divine Imperium cd {Moribund Rec.}
Texas has unleashed another killer band this time it is the black metal legion Morbus666 and their newest cd Ignis Divine Imperium.Featuring eight songs of black metal with touches of death metal in a few songs.The guitars are played at high speeds with a lot of aggressive and violent patterns.But it is not all chaotic speeds and patterns as their are very well played and executed mid paced guitar sections.The drumming is done in the same way as the guitars with violent and fast drumming sections but the drummer does slow to a more mid paced range in a few songs that is played very well.The vocals are gruff death metal growls and some black metal screams .If you enjoy the early years of black metal with touches of death metal mixed in then be sure to give Morbus666 a chance and buy the new cd.
