Enoid--Exile Aux Confines Des Tourments cd {Satanath Rec./Black Plague Rec.}
Switzerland's Enoid return with the seventh release to date combing raw,hateful black metal with some very well written and played instruments.The main man behind Enoid is Bornyhake who handles the vocals and all instruments.The guitars are played with a lot of skill and played at different ranges going from a mid tempo to a more faster black metal guitar tone.The drumming is done in the same vein going from a mid tempo drum range to a all out violent speed with blast beats and the drums are done with a lot of skill and played very well either mid tempo or at the faster range.The vocals are grim black metal screams mixed with some gruff talking type of vocals used in a few songs.This is my first encounter with Enoid so I can't comment if this is a big jump from past releases or not but if you enjoy furious black metal then defintly buy this cd as soon as it is released.

Goholor--In Saeculis Obscuris Mcd {Symbol Of Domination}
Slovakia's death/black metal band Goholor have released a great Mcd of heavy death metal and some black metal entertwined within the music.The guitars are played with some very well written and performed structures and patterns going from a fast and heavy death metal guitars to a more mid paced range.The vocals are a nice mix of death metal growls mixed with some blackend screams and shrieks.If you are a fan of well performed chaotic and heavy death,black metal then be sure to pick up a copy of In Saeculis Obscuris today.

Texas has unleashed another killer band this time it is the black metal legion Morbus666 and their newest cd Ignis Divine Imperium.Featuring eight songs of black metal with touches of death metal in a few songs.The guitars are played at high speeds with a lot of aggressive and violent patterns.But it is not all chaotic speeds and patterns as their are very well played and executed mid paced guitar sections.The drumming is done in the same way as the guitars with violent and fast drumming sections but the drummer does slow to a more mid paced range in a few songs that is played very well.The vocals are gruff death metal growls and some black metal screams .If you enjoy the early years of black metal with touches of death metal mixed in then be sure to give Morbus666 a chance and buy the new cd.
