Blasphemous comes out of Pennsylvania's death metal scene.Eternal Misanthropy is the latest EP featuring one brand new song and four songs recorded live in the studio.Eternal Misanthropy is the brand new studio track and is a fast and ripping fast song.The guitars and drums are done with crazed fastpaced drum and guitar passages,The vocals are old school gruff screams and growls.When the Dark Storms Surround Catholiccaust is the next song and is played with intensity and excellenct musicial skill.Not as brutal as the first song but is still performed with ferocious intensity.Mouth Of Lies is third track and is another whirlwind and fast paced guitar guitars.The drums are pounding heavy and fast beats that are done with excellent writing skill.The vocals are gruff growls and screams that are intense and violent sounding in the delievery.Emerging Through Fire is solid track of classic sounding and performed death metal.The music is not as chaotic as the previous songs but is still played with classic death metal.Salvation Denied is the final song on the release and is a fast paced song.With crazed,fast drum passages.The guitars are played with some very well played guitar structures that are fast and punishing in the delievery.Eternal Misanthropy is my first encounter with Philadelphia's Blasphemous and this is a great release to have if you are a fan of traditional and well executed death metal.
