Interview with Chancroid done on 9-25-20

1. Hello please introduce yourself to the readers?

Hello!!! I’m Wira from Chancroid, and I’m doing guttural on Chancroid

2. When did you first discover brutal death metal and who were the first bands you heard? Who are some of the current bands that have caught your attention?

Well actually, I found brutal death metal in the middle of 2009, Asphyxiate, they were hit me with their monstrous stuffs from their sophomore album, and I started fall in love with this stuff when I listened disgorge and they were caught me to learned more about brutal death metal

3. Chancroid was started in 2011 when did you all get the idea to start this band? How did you come up with the Chancroid as the name of the band and does it have a special meaning?

just wanna made a brutal death band with some extraordinary things, you know the repetition and harmony, got some great idea that I can't use on my other bands that time, I was talked with my friend, Fiaz from Asilent (Singapore) about my project and he was blessed me with Chancroid as a good name cause there’s no band use that name before (we've checked in metal archive)

4.What is the current line-up for the band? Who would you say are the bands biggest influences and for the readers who have never heard the band’s music how would you best describe the band’s sound?

me (Wira) as guttural, Hendri as guitars and Arief as drums, the band who has influenced us are disgorge of course ,Deeds of flesh and enmity and so many things that we had on our mind definitely. We put some extraordinary stuffs on it, the extraordinary rhythm and time frame, so we minimized the repetitions for each part of our songs, for the harmony, we adding some diminished chord ambience, I guess this is my best creations since I play brutal death metal

5. Bestial Perverse of the Anomalies Psychoneurotic is the band’s debut full length that is being released through Brute! Productions when did you and the band first come in contact with this label?

2013 when we released our first single, coitus deification terminology

6.How long did it take the band to write the music for the debut release? Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything?

Well actually we've been finished this album about 2016 since we had solid line up at 2013, we did writing our materials together we always had our time together every week end that we spent our whole week end to write our concepts.

7.Who usually handles writing the lyrics for the music and what are some topics written about on the debut release? Which usually comes first the music or the lyrics?

For the lyrics I wrote it by my own self, due to our capacity, by the way I used to writing some lyrics about sexual transmitted disease things which I summarised, but after the whole music has done I got writing block about the themes , you know those things hasn't wide topics and I think I should change the theme of our lyrical due to diminished harmony we're presenting and that day I was so craving with all gory movies, much blood and sadistic , so I decided to make the concept view of our album from some gory movies and this is the best part to share, we created the "thing" monstrous figuration and basically with some mental and psychological disorder, you guys can see him on our album cover , I gave him a name , William Thompson jnr., and you guys can call him "Thompson". And six of our song list tries to tell about him and two instrumental pieces that we created with a great young composer.

8.Besides the debut Bestial Perverse of The Anomalies Psychoneurotic release does the band have any other releases or merchandise currently available for the readers to purchase? If yes what is available and where can the readers purchase it?

We're gonna release our merch very soon, and you can come to our official label's site on facebook at BRUTE PRODUCTIONS. Instagram @brute.prods and our bandcamp www.chancroid.bandcamp.com

9.Has Chancroid had the opportunity to play very many live shows over the years? If yes what have been some of the bands most memorable shows and who are some bands you have shared the stage with?

Actually we're hadn't much shows due to our daily activities but we think about our promotional tours but guess this is won't happen very soon, you know corona gets us stuck. So I hope this horrible thing will be over very soon. The best memorable thing when we got playing on Osmed and Fetal Bleeding release party, you know they are in the same label with us.

10.When bands are able to play live again are there any plans to tour or play shows in support of the debut?

We still can't make sure about the promotions tour for our debut due to pandemic. Hope everything will be just fine and we can start to share our songs on stage

11.Chancroid comes out of Indonesia's brutal death metal scene what is your opinion of the scene in Indonesia over the years?

Well the Indonesian scene is growing all the time, so many great bands born here and we've got kindly attention from worldwide.

12. Who are your all-time favourite bands coming out of Indonesia and are there any new bands you feel the readers should check out?

Of course the almighty disgorge, deeds of flesh (from gradually melted to crown of souls), putridity and enmity. I think you should hear Expendiency's new stuff, though they aren't new band but their new stuffs are really fresh.

13.Besides bands are there any honest and reliable labels or distros you could recommend to the readers?

I think brute productions is very reliable label I’ve ever known, that’s the place where I can presenting my opinion, and so much great bands there , you can check 'em out on brute! Productions official sites.

14. Besides working in Chancroid do any of the members currently work with any other bands or solo projects? If yes please tell the readers a little about them?

One member of us has another projects, Ariel , actually he has a great brutal death band before Chancroid , Digging up and now he has joined to Muted too.

15.What does Underground Metal mean to you?

The place where I call it home. The place where I always come back home and the place where I grew up and still growing in it.

16.When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?

I spend my time listening to some good songs and hanging out and getting some cups of coffee.

17.Thank you for taking the time to do this interview do you have any final comments for the readers? Please enjoy our stuffs on brute productions youtube channel, spotify and our bandcamp site chancroid.bandcamp.com. Incinerate--Sacrilegivm cd{Comatose Music} posted on 9-24-20

Incinerate--Sacrilegivm cd{Comatose Music}
After five years of silence Incinerate return with their fourth full-length release.Sacrilegivm contains eleven songs of well executed and performed death metal with some technical influences entertwined into the music.
The guitarist plays at a high level of intensity and speed. The guitars are played at a high level of speed and aggression but the guitarist does write some memorable  passages even adding some well played solo's.
The vocals are low, deep growls and some gruff growls are used in a few of the songs.
The drums are played with furious and intense blast beats that really fit Incinerate's music. The drummer does write and compose some heavier, slower drum patterns.
This is my first encounter with Incinerate so i can't compare to the bands previous releases but if you are a fan of brutal, pummeling death metal then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Sacrilegivm when it is released.

Interview with Sadistic Embodiment done on 9-19-20

1. Hello, Jason please introduce yourself to the readers?

Hi there everyone, my name is Jason and I am the producer/engineer, co-vocalist and rhythm guitar player for the death metal giants Sadistic Embodiment.

2. When did you first become interested in playing the guitars? Are you self-taught or did you take lessons when first starting out?

My guitar journey started back when I was 14 years old (1994...yup I’m old haha) and I’m originally from Ireland so we didn’t get much for tv channels at that time. One evening I was at home watching MTV (back when they played actual music) and “One” by Metallica came on (this was also my introduction to metal) and I was blown away and NEEDED to know how to play that song. Through a friend of mine I was told about an older kid that knew how to play it. A few days later I walked to him, said “I hear you can play One...teach me”. He reluctantly did and from then I was hooked, I taught myself more songs by ear and never looked back, we even started a band together. Thx Scott!

3. Who are some of your influences and favorite guitar players? Besides the guitars do you currently play any other instruments? If yes, which instruments do you play?

As mentioned Metallica was the band that brought me into the metal world, other bands I came to love were Machine Head, Lamb of God, the mighty SLAYER, Deftones (first band I saw live), Killswitch Engage, Gojira, and within the last year I was introduced to bands like Rotting Christ, Aeon, and Black Crown Initiate to name a few.

A few of my favourite guitar players are James Hetfield, Dimebag, Scott Ian (which I get told I’m a spitting image off haha) and Stephen Carpenter.

I can play bass guitar, and dabble with drums and a bit of keyboard.

4. When did you first meet the other members of the band and was it long before you all started Sadistic Embodiment?

The first member of SE I met was our drummer Bryan “Newbs” Newbury. We previously knew each other from the music scene in Edmonton, and my old band Breaking The Silent played a show with his other band “Into Eternity”. He must have liked my style of playing as he asked me about jamming with him for a death metal band he was starting, so I came over to a jam and I  met our bass player Curtis Vieville and our original lead guitar player Helge in September 2017. We had an amazing jam together and from there I was asked to join. In February 2018 our original singer Nate was introduced to the fold and we became a 5pc. October of 2018 we parted ways with Helge and brought our current lead guitar player Wally Fischer into the family shortly after. Before we started recording vocals for our new album “Blood Spell” we parted ways with Nate and chose to go back to a 4pc with myself, Curtis and Wally taking over vocal duties.

5. What is the current line-up of the band? Who would you say are the band's biggest influences and for the readers who have never heard the band's music how would you best describe it?

Our current line up is:

Bryan Newbury - drums

Jason Cullen - rhythm guitar/vocals

Wally Fischer - lead guitar/vocals

Curtis Vieville - bass guitar/vocals

All four of us have different genres of metal that we enjoy, from black metal to thrash. And all those influences show in our song writing and it makes for some brutal songs.

Hmmm, describe our band to someone who never listened to it...well...I would say it’s full of catchy/groovy riffs, aggressive vocals, face melting solos and extreme drumming!!

6. Blood Spell is the band's debut full-length, how long did it take the band to write the music for the release? Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything?

With “Blood Spell” we only had two songs that we were playing live when Nate was our vocalist. We had other songs that were started but that was about it. We were getting together to rehearse and write twice a month and then a goddam pandemic hit, it was something we never expected during the writing process, but we found ways to continue to write more songs. Myself and Wally would get together with Bryan in different cities. Edmonton with myself and Calgary with Wally as Bryan had recently moved to Calgary, Curtis and myself would get together in Edmonton and work on bass ideas. We sent songs to each other via the internet and tweaked or added parts as needed. Once everyone was happy with the 9 songs we did final pre-production mixes and sent them to Bryan to write his drums too, the guy fucking pulled off recording 9 songs in less than two days… hands down best drummer I have had the pleasure of  working with!! Everyone in the band puts their input into the song writing, but Bryan is definitely our commander when it comes to final tweaks.

7. Who usually handles writing the lyrics for the music and what are some topics written about on the debut release? Which usually comes first, the music or the lyrics?

For our first 3 EP’s Curtis and our old vocalist, Nate handled lyric writing, but once we parted ways with Nate we all took turns working lyrics, the two songs that were already written and being played live had to be changed lyrically as Nate has written them. Myself and Wally took control of those two which turned into “Gallows Hill” and “Phantom Tormentor” which also are the lead vocal debuts for both of us.

I would say the music would get written before lyrics normally with us, as we do make adjustments when in the writing stage, so once the music is complete the lyrics start getting written.

8. Besides the upcoming Blood Spell debut does the band have any other merchandise currently available for the readers to purchase? If yes, what is available and where can the readers purchase it?

We do have other merch!! Our first 3 EP’s are on all music streaming services, we also released our 3rd EP on CD with the first 2 EP’s as “bonus” content. We have shirts/caps/toques/wrist bands and patches. All can be found on our bandcamp page at https://sadisticembodimentofficial.bandcamp.com

9.Has Sadistic Embodiment had the opportunity to play very many shows over the years? If yes, what have been some of the band's most memorable shows and who are some bands you have had the opportunity to share the stage with?

Since our beginning, we decided against playing lots of shows, but rather one every few months. The reason behind that was to not over-saturate ourselves, we have seen so many bands that would play every weekend it felt like, and the majority of the time it loses a draw for shows. With us doing a show every few months it got people excited to see us play as we are extremely high energy and interact with the audience. In a way, they become part of Sadistic Embodiment.

The best show I ever played (can’t speak for the other guys) was when we had the honour of opening for Rivers of Nihil when they were touring for the album “Where Owls Know My Name”(hands down best album of 2018..check it if you haven’t). We have also opened for bands like The Convalescence (Ohio), Hazzerd (Calgary) and Idolatry (Edmonton) to name a few.

10. When bands are able to play live again are there any plans to tour or play shows in support of the new release? If yes, where would the band like to play?

Of course!! We would love to go on tour, but we all have our goddam day jobs that stop all the fun! But we do want to get back onto the stage ASAP, the last show we played was hands down the best we played together as a band, and the best crowd reaction we ever received… I think someone actually died at it... Haha.. kidding… I think… But it was also a show where our original singer was too sick to perform, so we went on stage as a 4pc, and in a way, it was us looking to the future as the response we got as a 4pc was through the roof!!

Our goal has always been to go to Europe and play there, for me personally to play back home in Ireland!!

11.Sadistic Embodiment comes out of Canada's death metal scene, what are your thoughts on the scene in Canada over the years?

Oh man, there have been some amazing talent that has come out of the Great White North and STILL continues to come out!! In my musical journey in Edmonton I have shared the stage with some of the most talented musicians out there and it was always an honour to see them perform.

12. Who are your all-time favorite bands coming out of Canada and are there any new bands you could recommend to the readers?

My all-time favorite Canadian bands would be Kataklysm, Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend Project, Protest The Hero just to name a few.

Oh man… EVERY SINGLE BAND…haha! Some bands I have played shows with that are worth a listen would be Tessitura (melodic death/thrash), Idolatry (black metal), Quietus (melodic death/thrash), Tides Of Kharon (melodic death)... there are lots more but I don't want to take up anymore room haha

13. When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?

Any free time I have currently is working on other musical projects… I like to say I bleed music!! I always like to be involved with as much in the scene as I can…even to go as far as to help a friend record his country singles…..sigh…. Haha…

I’m also into video games as well, mostly survival games, city building games and Fifa… being Irish I love my football “soccer”.

14. What does Underground Metal mean to you?

Underground Metal to me is a family of musicians that are there to support each other, to be those people that come to a show and stand in front of the stage and headbang till their necks break, to be those people that will buy your band's merch and wear it and listen to it around town, to be those people that pick ya back up when ya fall in the pit… to be..those people...that make me love metal as much as I do… and I fucking thank you all!!!

15.Thank you Jason for taking the time to fill this interview out, do you have any final comments for the readers?

I want to thank you Patrick and to everyone for taking the time to read through my answers (sorry I tend to ramble on), and hopefully checking out my band Sadistic Embodiment. And if you like what you hear from our new album “Blood Spell” and want to support us some more you can always check out our bandcamp for merch and our previous EP’s.

Interview with Ov Shadows done on 9-16-20

1.Hello please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hello!
We are Ov Shadows which consists of four dark souls hailing from Gothenburg and its surroundings.

2.When did you first discover black metal music and who were the first bands you discovered? Who are some current bands that have caught your attention?

Probably around 1994-95 when the second wave of black metal bands had come with full force. It was truly an amazing time, to experience and exploring the dark arts of black metal. We listened to band such as Emperor, Satyricon, Burzum, Darkthrone, Dark Funeral and Marduk, to name a few rather obvious ones. It was, however, a quick transition from the trash and death metal bands that dominated at the time.

Well, it feels like it's hard to keep track of all new the bands that emerge nowadays, the black metal scene has really become massive. We have of course slightly different opinions of what constitutes interesting and good black metal in the current scene, but there are some common denominators that units us. But to mention a few examples of bands that we enjoy and that delivers high quality black metal we would say Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord, Aoratos, Misþyrming and Funeral Mist. They all manages to carve out a niche of their own in a very crowded space, where much is sounding alike. As black metal musicians, we are all standing on the shoulders of giants, but those spending more time looking ahead than back are what moves the scene forward.

3.Ov Shadows was started in 2016 when did you and the other members first get the idea to start this band? Are you satisfied with how things have progressed with the band over the years? How did you choose Ov Shadows as the name of this band?

We were playing together in another band prior to Ov Shadows but felt that we had reached a
point where we couldn't evolve the concept anymore and that the band had lost the dark essence in the music that we always strive for. We wanted to put our music in a more dark and extreme direction again and that's basically how the idea of Ov Shadows came up.

The band name is inspired by Jungian psychology and the concept of ‘the shadow self’ - ‘the shadow aspect’ - which is reflected in our strive to explore and embrace the dark aspects that dwells within each and everyone of us.

Yes, we are pleased with the progression of the band. When we released the EP "Monologues" in 2016 we were in a kind of a heavy experimental phase. We tested a lot of things which resulted in a more slow paced, doomy black metal. With our debut album " The Darkness Between Stars", released in 2018, we felt that we came closer to where we belong. We wanted a more aggressive and intense approach with our music and also bring more atmosphere to it. We wanted the listener to feel like being plunged into the cold arms of death. And that brings us to " I Djävulens Avbild" which in every way is an improvement compared to our previous  releases. We are very pleased with this release but we are convinced that our future work will be even better. There is always room for improvement.

4.I Djavulens Avbild is the bands second full-length that was released through Hypnotic Dirge Rec.when did you and the band first come in contact with this label?

We came in contact with Hypnotic Dirge Records thanks to AAs involvement in the band Obitus.
We must say that we are very pleased with the collaboration with Hypnotic Dirge Records, everything have work out very well and we really appreciate all the work they have done/are doing for us.

5.How long did it take the band to write the music for the new release?Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything?
The music for “I djävulens Avbild” have been created during a period of around 2 years. Inspiration comes and goes and we always want to develop our sound and push ourselves to find new dark paths with our music. Then there’s always ‘reality’ that sticks its ugly face in the way of creativity. We, as most others, are mere mortals…

The writing process begins in AAs studio and he is the one who mainly composes the music and then brings the raw material to our rehearsals. But the final product is always a result of a creative collaboration within the band, with contributions from everyone. Some songs are more or less kept as they where in the initial stage, whereas others goes through several versions or changes before we are satisfied. The only thing that matters, however, is the end result - who does what bears no meaning.

6.Who usually handles writing the lyrics for the music and what are some subjects written about on the new release?Which usually comes first the music or the lyrics?
The lyrics on all our releases up to this point are written by RA and have transitioned from Carl Jungs theory of the shadow self and lucid dreaming into the topic of demonology.
In the majority of cases the music is created before RA writes the lyric. In the cases that the lyric is written without a certain song in mind, it's more of a coincidence that it fits a certain song rather than that the music is written to fit the lyric. That might change somewhat when we are soon to start the next chapter of Ov Shadows. Then we will to a greater extent try to let the lyrics influence the compositions and see what happens.

7.Besides the I Djavulens Avbild new release are their any copies of the bands debut release still availible to purchase?Besides physical releases does the band have any other merchandise currently availible to purchase if yes what is availible and where can the readers buy it?

Our debut album "The Darkness Between Stars” is sold out, there are however a limited number of t-shirts left in stock. Hopefully there will be a re-release and maybe also a vinyl, but that's not completly decided yet though. You may soon also order a  physical copy of “I Djävulens Avbild” directly from us. Merchandise and releases can be ordered from our bandcamp site our from our label (Hypnotic Dirge Records).

8.Has Ov Shadows ever played live over the years or do you prefer working in the studio? What have been some of the most memorable shows over the years?
Unfortunately not. Our ambition has always been to play live but due to other commitments it has not yet been realized. We definitely consider ourselves to be a live band so when the opportunity comes Ov Shadows will be ready. And that is a strong consideration when we compose our music - we never write anyhing that we can’t recreate as a band in a live setting.

9.When bands are able to play live again are their any tours or shows planned in support of the new release?
We don't have anything planned at the moment but hopefully there will soon come opportunities for us to spread our darkness. We are not desperate, however, and will not jump on any offer put before us. The circumstances needs to be right.

10.What does Black Metal mean to you?

Generally speaking, black metal is a vital part of our lives and goes beyond just the music. It's a way of life in many ways, something that you always have with you in your everyday life. But of course it´s a very personal question how you reflect upon black metal and how it impacts your life.

11.Ov Shadows comes out of the legendary Swedish black metal scene what are your thoughts of the black metal scene in Sweden over the years?

Well, that's a quite extensive question to answer but generally speaking the Swedish black metal scene have of course had its highs and lows over the years. In the 1990s, a lot of things happened within the scene and some amazing bands emerged that have had an huge impact and influenced the scen that we see today. Bands such as Bathory, Dark Funeral and Marduk will forever be considered the founders and giants of the Swedish black metal scene and then bands like Dissection and Shining have carved out new paths. In the early 2000s other countries took over the progression of black metal and it felt like the Swedish scen stagnated a bit.
But overall Sweden have always had a very good underground scene over the years and the black flame have never and shall never stop burning. Now and then some excellent bands emerge and that’s always nice to discover.

12.Who are your all-time favorite Swedish bands and are their any new bands you could recomend to the readers?
It is hard to pick all-time favorite band for a couple of reasons but the main reason is of course that we are four individuals with different preferences, so the list would probably be to long to publish. We have, however, already mentioned a few.

13.Besides bands are their any honest and reliable labels or distro's you could recomend to the readers?
Hellter Skellter and Shadow Records have always delivered on time and have reasonably good catalogues. And of course Hypnotic Dirge Records.

14.Besides working in Ov Shadows are any of the members currently working with any other bands or solo projects? If yes please tell the readers a little about them?

Ov Shadows has been the priority for all of us in the last 2 years but there are some other projects around the band, some more active than others.

15.Thank you for taking the time to fill this interview out do you have any final comments for the readers?

Thanks for giving us this opportunity! And thanks to everyone that supports us and buys our releases, it means a lot! Lets see what the future holds when it comes to practicing the dark arts.

Dominic : I discovered death metal through Darius , I was 14 when we met in 2002 for the first time
but he have me my first death metal album at age 15, I was listening to dimmu borgir and slipknot
not knowing much and also internet access was not as easy as today so finding music was actually a
golden moment…that being said he gave me Broken hope “Bowles of repugnance “ , Death“symbolic” , Nile “ Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka “ and from there I was blown away …my first death metal buy was six feet under “true carnage”

turned to Dom and told him we need to get this guy …so I went to him directly after their show and
told him I want to play with him …2 weeks later I got the phone call and we hit our first band
practice .
Current members are
Darius Wilken / guitar
Dominic Vorster / bass and vocal
Dominic Bulmer / drums
Mitch Wilken / vocal
Wouter botha /Guitar

4.Who would you say are the bands biggest influences and have they remained the same over the years? For the readers who have never heard Bleeding Spawn how would you best describe the bands musical style?

Dominic : We have always had our influences as members we all listen to a variety of music and our music taste has never really changed but adapted and evolved , as for me I’ve been massively influenced by bands like fear factory , cattle decapitation , cannibal corpse ..but through the years things have not changed but grown musically , currently driven by more brutal death and slam bands my influence still ranges from many genres within metal.

Our musical style has been said to be futuristic and new …I would say we bring elements of all technical and groove and combine them in one .

Darius : Dino , max, peter , …all music I come ..

Modern death metal with slam influence and triplet

5.Pariah Attestant is the bands newest EP.being released through CDN Rec. when did  the band first come in conta7.Where does the band draw influences for the lyrics and what are some subjects written about on the new release?Which usually comes first the music or the lyrics?

Dominic: The new release we decided to go for 3 topics that we love to sing about

ct with this great label?

Darius: 4 years ago we first sent our albums to brutal mind , then cdn got some cds  from tyhem then craig got hold of darius…and then we discuseed  it and came down to signing with them.

6.How long did it take the band to write to the music for the new release? How long does it usually take the band to complete a song?

Dominic: the writing process for us is vital we are extremely anal on arrangements it might seem easy but the process etake in order to write material is very clinical …we try and anaylayse all angles and set our aspirations high….so it takes us time for the song to be complete but that time we put in we hope it resonated well with people

Darius : I wrote the songs about year and half back from there I took it to the band and we worked on riffs and patterns until we are all happy and can not only play it on studio time but also nail it for stage

7.Where does the band draw influences for the lyrics and what are some subjects written about on the new release?Which usually comes first the music or the lyrics?

Dominic: The new release we decided to go for 3 topics that we love to sing about Mutant genetic x is about a genetic pool that was discovered creating a monstrous being that went on a killing rampage unstoppable and brutal , this mutant became the weapon of a big corporation .

Control human delete is about government agencies and how they as said control us just to see us end …much lik how things are in the world

Squirt cunt butchery was a title given years ago , it was always so heavy to say that infront of people and getting frowned upon …this song is pretty gorey …about acidic juice that flows from a women when she squirts causing her victims to burn gruesomely …but finally she gets hacked up but only to the demise that her vagina is a living butcher and gives her life through blood and murder ..

Darius usually names the songs gives them a purpose and then gives them to me to write around the topic…but we all have our influence as to what direction …..normally music first then lyrics last

8.Besides the upcoming  Pariah Attestan trelease are the bands previous releases still available to purchase?Besides physical releases does the band have any other merchandise currently available for the readers to purchase?

Darius: yes we still have physical albums available  and we always have merch and that what we don’t have in stock we will order and custom print. We have all available like shirts, flags, stickers, cups. Albums, vest, hoodies, long sleeves

9.Has Bleeding Spawn had the opportunity to play very many live shows over the years or do you prefer working in the studio? What have been some of the bands most memorable shows and who are some bands you all have shared the stage with?

Dominic: we love both ,both are equally important for us we live to play live and we love to be studio creating our dreams ….we have shared stages with some big names and huge influences to us , like cannibal corpse, aborted, decapitated , fleshgod apocalypse , septic flesh , cattle decapitation ., Kataklysm

A memory that will never leave me is the tour we had with Fleshgod appoclaypse I learned a lot and was the best feeling ever being on the road doing what I love

Darius : Opening up for aborted and cattle decapition was on my top tier lists for most memorable shows , also touring for 7 days with fleshgod apocalypse

10.When bands are able to play live shows again are their any shows planned in support of the Pariah Attestant release? If yes where will the band be playing and who are some bands you will share the stage with?

Dominic:  Once we aloud to play again the first thing will be looking at doing is holding our festival again called spawn fest , we will probably do a few shows to prepare before that but that is our goal for now

11.Bleeding Spawn comes out of South Africa's death metal scene what are your thoughts on the scene in South Africa?

Dominic: Our death metal scene is extremely small , we have a heap of extremely good talent here , our scene is very vast with genres and we have a lot of bands coming from here, but the death metal scene is small but its loved by many…Our scene will always grow with time we not a big country so what we have here is amazing

Darius : not very big ,it’s a small …we got a good variety …as for support we have amazing support in south Africa I would like to see more death metal bands in south Africa .

12.Who are your all-time favorite bands coming out of South Africa and are their any new bands you feel the readers should check out soon?

Theatre runs red, maximum carnage, bile of man , contrast the water, the fallen prophets , resurrection of fetal remains , displeased disfigurement.

13.When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?

14.What does Underground Metal mean to you?

Dominic : it is as important to me as the air we breath I love it I love the canvas of extreme it means a lot to me.

15.Besides working in Bleeding Spawn do any of the members currently work with any other bands or solo projects? If yes please tell the readers a little about them?

Cultus Profano--Accursed Possession cd {Debemur Morti Prod.} done on 9-2-20

Cultus Profano--Accursed Possession cd {Debemur Morti Prod.}
Cultus Profano are a duo who come out of California's black metal scene.Accursed Possession is the bands second full length featuring seven songs of well composed and crafted black metal art.The music is performed with skill and aggressive musical passages. For the most part the band plays extremly fast black metal instruments. The musicians do slow to a more calm and slower pace in a few of the songs showing the band can play aggressive and brutal black metal but can also perform some slower passages to make a very unique black metal style and sound.
The vocals are raw black metal screams and screeches that fit the music perfectly.
If you are looking for a band tha plays chaotic yet well composed black metal then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Accursed Possession today.
