Schattenfall--Das Verderben cd{Redefining Darkness/Wolfspell Rec.}
Schattenfall are a band coming out of the German black metal scene with a new three song EP.Das Verderben contains three songs of atmospheric black metal with some depressive eelements added into the music.The music is played with a more controlled slower mid paced range with both atmosphere and some depressive black metal entertwined.The vocals are a mix of raspy black metal screams and some deeper growls.
This is my first time hearing Schattenfall so I can't compare this release to the bands past recordings but if you are a fan of dark,atmospheric black metal then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Das Verderben when it is released.
