Italy's masters of brutality Blasphemer return with their new cd Ritual Theophagy.After a six year silence Blasphemer return with a more violent and vicious death metal release.The guitars are played with crazed and extrememly fast guitar patterns but the guitarist knows how to write some memorable and great passages.The drumming is top notch with both heavy slam style drum patterns and some faster blasting drum patterns.Blasphemer do add elements of technical death within some of their songs but I would not label them a technical band more of a brutal slam band.If you are a fan of this band or you enjoy well written death metal be sure to pick this up today.

After being active within the black metal scene for twenty years France's Cryfemal release their brand new cd through the mighty Osmose Prod.Featuring eight songs of traditional harsh black metal that relys more on the slower more mid-paced range then a lot of the black metal bands out there.The guitars are played with a mix of mid paced guitar chords to a more fierce and faster guitar patterns.The vocals have a variety with gruff screams and more traditional violent blackend screams that fit this music perfectly.If you are a fan of well executed and performed black metal or you are familiar with Cryfemal's past releases then do not let this gem slide by you buy this masterpiece up today.

New York's masters of brutal death,slam metal are back with their third release Beyond The Mind. Featuring ten songs of mid paced slam with elements of technical guitars in a few of the songs.The guitars are played with a great mix of mid tempoed heavy guitar chords but does go for an all-out assult of fast,chaotic riffs.The vocals are a mix of brutal death metal growls and some raw thrashy screams entertwined.If you are a fan of Dehumanized's previous release you will defintly want to check this new cd out soon.

France's Mercyless who released two classics in the 90's Abject Offerings in 92 and Coloured Funeral in 93.Return with a brand new full-length Pathetic Divinity and a brand new label with Kaotoxin.For those who are new to Mercyless's style the band plays a mix of old-school death metal mixed with a lot of thrash elements.The guitarist are played with a lot of great written patterns that are mainly played with fast guitar chords but do slow to a more heavier mid tempo style in a few of the songs.The drums are played in the same style with well written and performed patterns.Going back and forth between chaotic,fast drum patterns and a more well controlled mid paced style.The vocals are death metal growls that really fit the Mercyless sound and style.If you were lucky enough to hear the bands early releases then don't let Pathetic Divinity pass you by as it is just as good if not better then the early releases.
