Declared Dead---Denounced And Defiled digital-release {Self-released}
Declared Dead is the new metal project/band from Tony M.{who used to do Terminal Descent} and this is a review of his debut full-length.Featuring eleven songs of death and thrash metal.If you remember Tony's first band Terminal Descent" then tony knows how to write and craft metal and other genres together for a good song.The guitars are played with a lot of skill and experience going from mid paced guitars to some faster guitar patterns while mixing in some death metal and even some blackend guitar sections.Tony's vocals are a mix of death metal growls and some industrialized type of vocals used in a few songs.If you are looking for a new band that uses a lot of metal influences but is not afraid to try to experiment with other genres then be sure to listen and buy/download this release today.

Evil Reborn---Throne Of Insanity cd {Satanath Rec.}
This is the debut cd from Venezuela's Evil Reborn that is total old-school death metal. The music is defintly early ninties death metal that borrows influences from both the early U.S and Europe scenes with a lot of their own ideas and music.The guitars are played at both a hyper fast speed and also a slower mid pace style.The vocals are done in the early ninties style growls and even some screams entertwined in a few of the songs.If you are a fan of early death metal that is both very catchy and heavy then be sure to pick up a copy of Throne Of Insanity today.

Grotesque Ceremonium is the new old-school brutal death band from Turkey.The main man behind the band is Batu Cetin who handles everything.The guitars are played in mid-tempo guitar riffs mixed in with some faster and heavier riffs.The vocals are brutal death metal growls that fit this bands style.If you are a fan of early incantation and Immolation and the like then be sure to give Grotesque Ceremonium a listen today and buy the release when available.

Kozeljnik---Death Gives Unto Life Mcd {Possession Prod.}
Here is the newest Mcd from Serbia's Kozeljnik who used to play only black metal but have added some other genres to their sound on this new Mcd.The music goes from straight forward black metal to a calmer,slower blackend doom feel.The drums are done in the same style going from thunderous mid paced drumming to a all out assult of black metal drums.The vocals are done with a variety going deep talking type of vocal pattern to a more black metal screaming vocal pattern.This is a lot different then the first two Kozeljnik cd's I have but it is still a very well written and performed release and if you enjoy black metal with influences of blackend doom with some avant-garde influences mixed in then do yourself a favor and buy this Mcd.

Mortillery--Shapeshifter cd {Napalm Rec.}
Canada's Mortillery return with their third release "Shapeshifter" playing a mix of traditional heavy metal and fast thrashing metal.The drums are played with some fast blast drumming that is not all hyperspeed as the drummer knows how to play well written and performed mid tempoed mid paced drum patterns.The vocalist does a good job of combining both traditional metal vocals and some higher pitched screams that fit the music perfectly.If you are a fan of well played and written mix of heavy metal and thrash then be sure to buy Mortillery newest cd Shapeshifter today
