Evulse--Pustulant Spawn cd{Godz Ov War Prod.} Posted on 2-28-21
Coming out of California's long running death metal scene is Evulse with their new EP.Pustulant Spawn contains four songs of putrid old school death metal that is delievered with intensity and powerful musicial passages. The guitars are played with a mix of frenzied fast patterns and some mid paced guitar passages entertwined into the music. The drums are handled with a mix of intense fast drum patterns but like the drummer does slow to a heavier mid tempoed drum style throughout a few of the songs. The vocals are some of the best old school death metal growls in recent memory and fits Evulse's music perfectly. If you are a fan of early immolation,Incantation or Autopsy then Evulse is a band you should defintly check out soon. Interview with Uappa Terror vocalist, guitarist of Terrordome Posted on 2-23-21
1.Hello Uappa please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hello everyone, I am Uappa – the guitarist and vocalist of Terrordome and less known bands like Extinkt and Deathreat.
2.When did you first discover thrash metal and who were the first bands that you heard?Who are some of the current bands that have caught your attention?
It was like, when I was 14, my cousin who I visited gave me lots of his cassettes from his collection. I showed him my latest discovery The Offspring – Americana and I told him, that I am in love in guitars there. Then he showed me tapes of Slayer, Vader, Metallica and he gave all the stuff to me, sayin’ that I will love it. So Did I. But it was Slayer who totally changed my view! I played Undisputed Attitude, Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits until the cassettes fucked up. That was an unexpected twist that changed my life to better!
3.Uappa you formed Terrordome back in 2005 when did you first get the idea to create this band? Are you satisfied with how things have progressed with the band over the years?
I always wanted to create a band. When I started listening to these bloody cassettes I felt it, that I don’t want to only listen to them. I understood that I have to sacrifice myself and I wanted to make this fucking music and rip off everyone’s head with this!
When I am now 34 I must say that the biggest progress we made is during last 2-3 year; I am good with it, but not good enough. We keep on doing better all the time and put our hearts and souls into Terrordome.
4.Who would you say are the bands biggest influences and have they remained the same over the years? For the readers who have never heard Terrordome's music how would you best describe it?
We evolve, things are changing. Earlier like (2005-2016) it was S.O.D., Razor, Evildead in their entire oldschool scene. Now – definitely more into Toxic Holocaust, Power Trip, Exodus, also some death metal bands that I love to listen to (Morbid Angel, Deicide), but it is barely hard to find their influence in new material. Even some of our guilty pleasures like Lamb of God or As I Lay Dying; yes we mix a lot, but the music is very characteristic. And anyone who has not listened to Terrordome before – this is a thrashing shotgun into your face rippin’ it off within 3 seconds during which you remember your whole life.
5.Straight Outta Smogtown is the bands newest full length release that is being released through Selfmadegod Rec. when did you and the band first come in contact with this label?
It was about 6 months before releasing the album. We were just finishing the recording session of Straight Outta Smogtown and contacted the label thanks to the band Dira Mortis – they told us that this is a great label we can count on.
6.How long did it take to write the music for the new release and does the whole band take part in the writing process? How long does it usually take to complete one song?
It took us three goddamn years. Due to changing the squad few times, it was quite difficult, but me and Paua (the guitarist) had lots of time to be finally very satisfied with the songs we wrote.
7.Uappa you handle the vocals for the band so i assume you take care of the lyrics for the music what are some topics writteen about on the new release? What usually comes first the lyrics or the music?
Yes. It depends. Sometimes I have lyrics first, then the music is written to the lyrics. In most cases the music comes first and then I adjust the choruses and verses. You never know what comes first!
8.Besides the Straight Outta Smogtown release are the bands previous releases still available for the readers to purchase? Besides physical releases does the band have any other merchandise availible for the readers to buy if yes what is availible and where can the readers buy it?
We have lots of merchandise – we sell it via our official merch store (store.terrordome.net) or via bandcamp. We have like different releases of our previous albums, several designs of t-shirts and other apparel, really, there is lots of the stuff we prepare, because to also love to make it.
9.Terrordome recently made a video for the song I Don't Care when did you first get the idea to make a video? Are you satisfied with how it turned out?
“I Don’t Care” was the video additionally made during our recordings of “Possessed by Blyat”. It came out that we have lots of time after doing the shots for “Possessed”, so as we were quite well prepared, we managed to fit 2 music videos in 1 day of shooting. So that, we have a nice addition like “I Don’t Care”. I like simple music videos and I don’t care about plots or shits like that; it can’t be always like that – so that, we are so happy with the results and we did a simple, asskicking video in the vein of “I’m Broken” served originally by Pantera.
10.What have been some of Terrordome's most memorable shows over the years? Who are some of your favorite bands that you have shared the stage with?
The best one was True Thrash Fest in Japan, then legendary Metalmania in Poland…and of course lots of smaller shows on our tour in Brazil. We love playing abroad and we have the best memories, when we’re far away from home. Also we shared the stage with Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura and Anthrax – that was amazing to support these guys! Also we really much like the guys from Whiplash, that we played with in Japan – we stay in touch with Tony Scaglione and Dank DeLong, totally love these guys.
11.Terrordome comes out of Poland's thrash, cross-over scene what is your opinion of Poland's metal scene over the years?
Poles are kings of black and death metal here. We’ve got lots of great bands on this scene and lots of talented people. Thrash Metal is not so popular in Poland, but we’re trying to stay in shape here and represent it worthily.
12.Who are your all-time favorite Polish bands and are there any new bands you feel the readers should check out soon?
All of us in Terrordome are in love with listening and watching Vader on stage. This band is incredible. Also I like energetic bands such as Antigama, so I recommend to check their latest record with the video for the song “Division of Lonely Crows”. I would also recommend listening to Ragehammer and Voidhanger. True masterpieces from Polish soil.
13.Uappa you handle the vocals for the band when did you first start screaming and singing? Do you do anything special to keep your voice and throat healthy?
Back in 2005 we struggled to find any good vocalist that would fit Terrordome well. So when we started recording our mini album “Shit Fuck Kill” I decided to put some vocal tracks down and it stuck that way – that was the moment I started shouting in Terrordome.
14. Who are some of your influences and favorite vocalists?
I took lots from some influences from my favourite bands – I like listening vocals from Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Barney Greenway (Napalm Death) and Peter Steele (especially Carnivore, ToN), Steve Souza (Exodus) and many thrash metal bands that Terrordome is played in the vein of.
15.Besides the vocals you also handle the guitars when did you first become interested in playing the guitars? Are you self taught or did you take lessons when first starting out?
Yes I was self-taught – I started when I was 14, knowing that I will have the band and I will perform lots of metal stuff. Then it started to be serious at my 19, when we started Terrordome. When I was like 31, I decided to take lessons, because I had many gaps and I was not satisfied with the way I was playing. So that I started to take some lessons that helped me a lot. I still learn and practice, because I want to be better and better on next recordings.
16.Who are your all-time favorite guitar players? Besides the vocals and guitars do you currently play any other instruments?
I won’t be original, but I like the way James Hetfield plays and I was always a big fan of Dimebag Darell. Except guitar I have a bass guitar and a drumkit, but I do not have so much time to practice it in details now, because I am super busy with all other stuff.
17.When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?
I go to gym, skateboard, collect some lego and play PC & PS games, watching horrors and old 80’s movies. I love retro games (gameboys and other handhelds) and everything I could not afford, when I was a kid. It bring me great memories and fun.
18.Thank you Uappa for taking the time to fill this interview out do you have any final comments for the readers?
Awesome interview, thanks a lot. Some last words from me - support us if U like us, listen to our shit wherever you are or whatever you do and let us know what U think! Interview with Demon guitarist, keyboards for Sententia Mortis Posted on 2-22-21
1.Hello Demon please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hi Patrick, 10 years passed from our last interview so, nothing changed about how I begun my Sententia Mortis project, but I’m still here, from Italy, 41 years old and still metalhead.
2.When did you first discover black and death metal and who were the first bands that caught your attention?Who are some of the newer bands that you have been listening to recently?
All started at the age of 13/14, after a period of listening to some rock/hard rock bands, searching for something heavier and I discovered thrash, death and black. I can say honestly that my attention was on different bands, very different bands, from Slayer to Dimmu Borgir. Recently I’m loyal to the old school metal and is difficult for me to open my mind to many new bands even if sometimes it happens.
3.Sententia Mortis was started back in 2008 when did you and the other members first get the idea to start this band? How did you come up with the name Sententia Mortis for the name of the band?Does it have a special meaning?
I get that idea after splitting up another previus band in 2007, it was a Motley Crue Tribute. Talking with my friend Groeber we decided to search for members for a new project and to call it “Sententia Mortis”.
As you can understand it means “death sentence”…something that everyone is condamned to.
4.Who would you say are the bands biggest influences and have they remained the same over the years? For the readers unfamilar with Sententia Mortis music how would you best describe it?
Obviously the main influence is Symphonic Black Metal, in particular from bands like Dimmu Borgir, Covenant (now The Kovenant), Troll and Old Man’s Child… and yes they remained the same during the years. I’m very coherent ahahah.
5.Untold Abominations is the bands third release that was released through Earth And Sky Prod. when did you first come in contact with this label?
I was at the end of this work when I begun to writing to some old contacts and labels. Even if now the main concentration is on raw black metal and tape releases I found a concrete collaboration with Earth and Sky Production, it’s what I really need for my project.
6.How long did it take to write the music for the new release?Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything? How long would you say it takes to complete one song?
This album is almost a 10 years work, because I was alone from the second album, so yes, I also wrote all the music and a part of the lyrics. Half of the songs are written by Marco Serodine from Chronic Hate ( a death metal band that all of us should listen to). But to finish a single songs depends by too many factors, first of all….time.
7.Where did you draw inspiration for the lyrics on the newest release and what are some topics written about?Which usually comes first comes first the music or the lyrics?
I always start from the music, because that is the key for the atmosphere I want and them come the lyrics. This album talks about personal situations and all has been “untold” in the past.
8.Where can the readers purchase a copy of Untold Abominations besides the newest release are the previous two releases still availible to purchase?Besides physical releases does the band have any other merchandise currently availible if yes what is availible and where can the readers buy it?
The digital version of the album can be purchased and listened almost everywhere, Bandcamp, Amazon, Spotify, ITunes, Deezer etc… the physical copies can be purchased through Earth and Sky Productions pages and will be in jewel case with red tray, so… this is also part of the entire trilogy concept.
I think there are still some copies remaining of the previous albums through Runenstein Records, now Narbentage Produktionen in Germany.
9.Demon you handle the guitars for the band when did you first become interested in playing the guitars? Are you self-taught or did you take lessons when first start starting out?
My father is a musician too and I wanted to follow him in this world from the childhood, so first classes where with him and then started in academy. Years later started also with keyboards.
10.Who would you say are your biggest influences and favorite guitar players?
As a guitar player I can say I like Darrel, Nuno Bettencurt and Brian May….very very different guitar players, I like the way they played in their music but as you can see I’m not a solo guitarrist.
11.You also handle the keyboards for the band when did become interested in playing the keyboards?Who are some of your favorite keyboard players?
I’ve been always fascinated by the black metal kayboards because of the atmosphere they created in the 90s, so I’m really in love with all those keyboards player from bands like Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth, Hecate Enthroned, Abyssos and more.
12.Besides the guitars and keyboards do you currently play any other instruments? Are their any instruments that you would like to learn to play someday?
Well, as I told before, for this album I was alone so I hand to play bass guitar. Even if it’s not my first instrument i handled it nicely.
13.What does Black Metal mean to you?
Black Metal is an attitude, a choice of life, it’s a way of thinking, in a certain way is a philosophy
14.Sententia Mortis comes out of the Italian black metal scene what is your opinion of Italy's black metal scene over the years?
For sure there are many great bands around and many other coming and thounsands in the underground but not enough space for all. Probably we are too much, too much to make sense.
15.Who are your all-time favorite bands coming out of Italy and are their any new bands you feel the readers should check out soon?
I think now you should check Chronic Hate from north east of Italy.
They are on the scene from more than 20 years and play a very powerfull death metal. The singer is Andrea Mezzarobba, same singer of my last Untold Abominations album.
They are finishing a new work in this period so…check them out.
16.Do you currently work with any other bands or solo projects the readers should check out soon?
Not at the moment. I concentrate myself in promoting this last work, but I have proposals around me.
17.Thank you Demon for taking the time to fill this interview out do you have any final comments for the readers?
I only want to say I’m very satisfied with the end of The Unholy Trilogy, it was something I starded more than 10 years ago and finally is the end.
Thank you so much Patrick and keep up the good work.

Interview with Buried done on 2-10-21
1.Hello please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hi, I’m Steve, guitarist for BURIED, a Dutch death metal band. We’re signed to Brutal Mind and our first album ‘Oculus Rot’ will be released on February 14th, 2021.
2.When did you first discover metal music and was it long before you discovered the Underground Death metal scene?
I think I was 14 or 15 years old when a friend of mine introduced me to Strapping Yound Lad, that’s where it started for me. I know Joel and Robbe formed Pyaemia –their previous band- when they were in high school, Suffocation and Cannibal Corpse were big influences back then.
3.Who were the first bands that you listened to and who are some of the current bands that have caught your attention?
Definitely Strapping Young Lad (abum City) was a big thing for me, but also Pantera, Nile, Hyprocrisy and Meshuggah. Then I digged deeper into the Swedish death metal, after that I started to listen more and more to American death metal bands. I remember listening to Morbid Angel for the first time, I must have been 15 or something, I just couldn’t understand it. It took some years before I finally heard the brilliance of it. The other guys in the bands have always been into brutal death. Bands that caught my attention lately are Vulnere, Tomb Mold, Vitriol and Serocs.
4.I believe Buried is a new band when did you all first get the idea to start this band? And are you satisfied with how things have gone with the band so far?
Well, I’ve been playing with a lot of musicians over the years, trying to get a band together like we are now. Robbe and I have been playing together for 10 years already I believe. But it was until Worm joined on bass in 2017 when everything fell into place. Him joining us we knew we had a steady line-up. Joel, Robbe and Worm have been together in Pyaemia and have been friends forever, I think that’s a big plus as well.
5.What is the current line-up of Buried? And for the readers who have never heard the music yet how would you best describe it?
Robbe V - drums, Joel Sta - vocals, Worm - bass and Steve - guitars. We all love old school death, but we also like modern bands. Think of Decapitated, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse combined with Revocation, Pantera with a modern production.
6.Oculus Rot is the bands debut full length that will be released through Brutal Mind when did you and the band first come in contact with this label?
Joel’s other band Arsebreed is signed to Brutal Mind as well, so we knew already that they are great people who work hard to promote underground death metal bands. We didn’t talk to other labels to be honest. Brutal Mind signed us after hearing 3 songs and we’re very happy it worked out that way. We are in contact with them very often, they really work together with us on promoting our band.
7.Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything? How long does it usually take to complete one song?
I write the riffs and most of the time the song structure. Sometimes I work with Joel on the structure, he has a great ear for what a song might need. Then Robbe works on his drum parts. He completely programs his parts before he learns to play them, he really wants his parts to be creative and not to be dictated by things he can already play. After that process Joel writes his lyrics and sometimes Joel and I work together on vocal arrangements. In the meantime Worm works on his parts. It can take quite a long time to finish a song, but when we’re done every detail is in place, it’s ready to be recorded for the next album basically.
8.Who usually handles writing the lyrics for the music and what are some subjects you all wrote about on the debut release?
Joel writes all the lyrics. It’s almost funny how easily he comes up with great lyrics. Most of the time our songs are about mental problems, distorted visions of reality and the struggle to cope with that. Inspiration comes from documentaries and movies. Joel himself is a very healthy guy haha! On the cover of Oculus Rot you see a guy strapped to an (imaginary) chair with an oculus rift on his head, being tortured with the images he sees. Nothing is real, still he is experiencing pain and anxiety. John Douglas did a great job capturing our ideas in the artwork.
9.Besides the upcoming debut release does the band have any other merchandise currently availible? If yes what is availible and where can the readers purchase it? Yes! At www.brutal-mind.com you can buy the album, a shirt, longsleeve and a flag. European fans can order our album at https://pathologicallyexplicit.bigcartel.com/product/buried-oculus-rot-cd. And check facebook.com/buriedmetal for more things to come!
10.What does Underground Metal mean to you?
It’s like a well of inspiration. Death metal to me is about creative freedom. I love bands that sound different than what I’ve heard before. And of course I love good riffs.
11.Buried comes out of The Netherland's death metal scene what are your thoughts on the scene in The Netherlands over the years?
I think the other guys could give a more elaborate answer, since they’ve experienced the scene in the early 00’s. But bands like Disavowed, Severe Torture, Prostitute Disfigurement are still around. A modern Dutch metal band is Spectrum of Delusion, I think those guys deserve all the attention.
12.Who are your all-time favorite bands coming out of The Netherlands and are their any new bands you feel the readers should check out soon?
Textures, Celice, Pyaemia, Disavowed, Arsebreed, Pestilence. Check out Spectrum of Delusion!
13.When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to travel, Scandinavia being my favorite destination within Europe. And of course meeting friends (at concerts) and drink beer together!
14.Thank you for taking the time to fill this interview out do you have any final comments for the readers?

Interview with Deiquisitor done on 2-4-21
1.Hails DA. please introduce yourself to the readers?
Hell-o. Im Daniel and I play bass in Deiquisitor and I do some vocals as well.
I have been in the band since late 2014/early 2015. Only did a bit of vocals on the first album but everything after that, I have done bass as well.
2.When did you first discover death metal and who were the first bands you heard?Who are some of the current bands that you have been listening to?
I think around 99 or 00, when I first heard Death Metal and Black Metal. It was mostly the classics, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, you know, all the good shit!
It's still a lot of the classic stuff I listen to but David from Extremely Rotten Productions, is really good at getting me to buy the things he puts out on tape, so if anyone wants to get the best, that's where you get it. At least from what I know. But to name a few newer, stuff like Tortur Rack, Lord Gore, Portal, etc. And many more, to many to name them all.
3.When did you first meet the other members of the band and was it long before you all started Deiquisitor? What is the current line up of the band?
I met them at my first concert with my old band, they were the headliner with one of their older bands Wolfslair back in... I'm not sure if it was 07 or 08. We just kept a bit of contact after that.
The line up is the same, just Henrik, Thomas and me, doing our thing.
4.Who would you say are the bands biggest influences and have they remained the same over the years? For the readers who have never heard Deiquisitor how would you best describe the bands musicial style?
The biggest influences for all of us has always been the drive to make extreme music in anything any of us has done. But again it's the classic stuff and whatever has been happening in our lives.
I don't wanna name any bands, cuz we mostly just sound like Deiquisitor, I think. We just do our thing. We like it fast, raw, brutal. So if any reader has not heard us but like the sound of what I said, then giv us a go!
5.Humanoid is the band's newest EP. how long did it take the band to write the music for the new release? Does the whole band take part in the writing process or does one member usually write everything?
I can't answer that really. we are always making new music, it never stops. Since we recorded Humanoid, we have made like 6 new songs and have some ideas for a new one as well.
Yes everybody takes part. Henrik comes up with some drum parts and then Thomas makes some riffs and I make my basslines off that and then we rehearse them and find out how everything has to be put together.
Other times we just jam at rehearsal and come up with stuff. it's pretty dynamic.
6.Who usually handles writing the lyrics for the music and what are some subjects written about on the new release? Which usually comes first, the music or the lyrics?
All 3 of us write lyrics. It's about stuff like occult science, ancient mysteries and apocalyptic theories. I would recommend everyone to read the lyrics, when they buy the album. It's a good read!
7.Besides the upcoming Humanoid release are the bands previous releases still available for the readers to purchase? Does the band have any other merchandise currently available if yes what is available and where can the readers purchase it?
Well I think most of our releases are still available from the labels that put them out and some T-shirts and longsleeve, so check out:
Extremely Rotten Prod

Night Shroud Records

Dark Descent Records
http://www.darkdescentrecords.com/
Me Saco Un Ojo records
https://www.mesacounojo.com/ We only sell at concerts ourselves. Just come to a show if you have the chance!
8.Has Deiquisitor played very many live shows over the years or do you prefer working in the studio? What have been some of the bands most memorable shows over the years? Who are some bands you have had the opportunity to share the stage with?
I don't know if we have played many but we have played a bit here in DK and EU. Every time we play with Undergang, it's just the most fun. Those guys are the best, we have been on a week tour in 2016 with them, then 2 smaller weekend tours to UK and Germany/Holland and a weekend tour with Finish Galvanizer here in DK. David (Undergang) is the one that gets us all our shows, he's the MVP and he's support and friendship, we are just really grateful for all the stuff he does. We could not do it without him. But we are a rehearsal room band mostly. That's where Deiquisitor is made! It's the brotherhood we have there that is the power of the band! And some cool bands we have played with are StarGazer, Lord Gore, Death Congregation, Galvanizer and more!
9.Besides working in Deiquisitor do any of the members currently work with any other bands? If yes please tell the readers a little about them?
No.. But Thomas and Henrik has been active since the early 90's, with bands like Fallen Angel, Wolfslair, Blodfest, Luciation, etc.
You can hear a lot of this on our Lebal-Bandcamp: https://orderofthenonagram.bandcamp.com/ and there are physical releases of most of it as well.
10.What does Underground Metal mean to you?
Okay now I have tried for an hour to come up with something meaningful to answer with, but I can't. I just like it extreme and mainstream does not have that, really.
Maybe that's the thing, is whatever you make it and everyone is there for different reasons.
11.Deiquisitor comes out of Denmark's death metal scene what are your thoughts of the scene in Denmark over the years?
Well the Danish scene is taking over the world with Undergang at the forefront. We have some really cool bands here with stuff like: Chaotia, Phrenelith, Septage, hypodontia, Taphos.
Then some older stuff like Fallen Angel, early infernal Death Demos, early Iniquity and Nations of Death.
12.Who are your all-time favorite bands coming out of Denmark and are there any new bands you could tell the readers a little about?
So I answered the last part already but my favorite bands are Fallen Angel, Wolfslair and Blodfest. Thomas and Henrik play in them and I get to play in Deiquisitor with my music heros. It's pretty sick dude!
Back in 2014 when I had no band to play in, a mate said, I should give Henrik a call, cuz they had started a new band, so they might be down to have me on, so I did and... well the rest is history in the making!
13.When you need to take a break from working on new music or band business what do you like to do in your free time?
Before lockdown, I liked to hang with friends, go for walks in the woods, go to raves and get fucked up, go to the movies. Just some pretty un-metal things. haha but also going to see some cool underground shows here in DK. Again thanks to David for bringing all the cool bands to Denmark!
14.Thank you DA. for taking the time to fill this interview out do you have any final comments for the readers?
Thank you Patrick for giving us the chance to tell you about our Death Metal band ! And I do! Go out there and do your thing, don't make headbanger friendly music, be extreme, don't compromise on your vision! and remember to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women! haha Give us a listen and get our new Ep "Humanoid" for the most dark and brutal Death Metal Denmark has to offer! Thanks for all the support! Band Contacts https://deiquisitor.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Deiquisitor

Sententia Mortis--Untold Abominations cd,digital(Earth And Sky Productions}Posted on 2-2-21
After eight long years Sententia Mortis return with their third full-length release that carries on the melodic black metal that was previous on the bands first two releases.Untold Abominations contains nine songs of well conconstructed and performed black metal that is both melodic but does have some aggressive music entertwined within the recording. The music is crafted with both faster guitars and drum passages but does slow to a more calmer mid paced range throughout the songs.Andrea Mezzarobba from Chronic Hate handels the vocal duties that powerful death metal growls that fit the bands music perfectly. If you are a fan of well crafted and played symphonic and melodic blackend death metal that is not afraid to add some faster musicial parts then do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of Untold Abominations today.
