I am the creator and main writer for Winter Torment since its beginning in the mid-2000s. It originally started on Myspace (anyone remember that site?! Haha!) and then we moved over to Blogger. Originally the focus was black metal and all its subgenres but over time I decided to add most of the other metal genres.
I have done most of the writing over the years but the last few years I have had some submissions from various friends and contacts. Thank you to Andrew P (reviews), GAZZ, Catia (Reviews), and Jay (Interviews).

ANDREW (REVIEWS, SITE ADMIN)
I am currently a reviewer and site administrator for Winter Torment, and I focus on albums that may not fit my other webzine, Ominous Vomit. I'm a 30-year veteran of the underground, starting at about age 15 when I discovered all the local Cleveland bands and began going to shows and collecting albums. I am a longtime comrade of Patrick's who recently delved back into the underground after a break from reviewing. I've been doing fanzine work since they were paper, just like Patrick, starting with Metal Union Fanzine (2 issues), followed by CULT 'Zine (2 issues). I also helped Patrick with his Painful Reality Fanzine while it was running, doing layout. In the early days of webzines I also did reviews for Monster's World of Metal. When everything moved to the internet in the late 2000s and 2010s, I had a few other short-lived projects, but mostly focused on my bands for that time (Riphead, National Collapse, and The Rut) and 'zine work fell by the wayside. I'm a gleeful contributor to Winter Torment, and it's an honor to have Patrick hosting some of my writing, as always.
