Tyhja is a duo who comes out of the mighty Finnish black metal scene and this is a review of their newest full length.III is a intro and seven tracks of uncomprimising and chaotic black metal.The music is played with a variety of tempos and speeds ranging from furious blasting black metal to a more controlled mid paced style with some synths being used.The guitars are played with a fast and whirlwind pace that is done with skillful writing and playing.The guitarist does slow to a more mid pace with some well played passages.The drumming is done with the same vein with crazed and blasting drum passages that are powerful in the delievery.The drummer can and does slow to a more controlled mid paced heavier style in a few of the tracks.The vocals are grim,raw black metal screams and screeches.III is a great release of violent and brutal black metal that should be heard by those who love this style.
