Coming out of Estonia's old school death metal scene is Surrogoat who play a great style of death metal with some thrash elements mixed into their style as well.Consumed By The Wrath Of Time is the debut full length featuring eleven tracks of catchy well executed old school death metal.The guitars are a mix of fast paced guitar patterns that are performed with skill and intensity.But the guitarist does write some mid paced passages that are equally as well delievered with some well performed solo's throughout the songs.The drums are played with fast paced drum passages that are powerful and devestating in their delievery.Like the guitarist the drums do slow to a more controlled mid paced range.The vocals are old school death metal growls that are powerful The vocalist also uses some thrashy screams used in a few of the songs.Consumed By The Wrath Of Time is a really well done debut with catchy hooks and memorable musicial passages.Fans of old school death metal should defintly check this band out today.
